Well, I just walked up and down my terrifying stairs for the first time since my surgery, so I feel like I deserve the donuts my husband is buying for me right now.

Not much going on here today. Normal work, hang out with the kid, schoolwork and dinner once he goes to bed. I did get to try out the Lillebaby I bought second hand though. Looking forward to actually being able to use it during the summer.

bluefairy5, it is covered on FMLA and I have enough STD pay for 13 weeks. The plan is to go back to work with restrictions after 6 weeks, but we'll see how it goes! So far so good, though.

I am the tired. As per my bf check in post....sleep was minimal last Friday and I am still recouperating. We've had a lot of snow since. I am trying to make a decision about hiring a new admin person by tomorrow as my current person has resigned and her last day is Friday.
Trying not to drown but kids are out of control. For that matter so are all the adults here. DH is of course at work.

Hello!!!!!! Sorry I disappeared, my life got super stressful and I need a mental break from everything.
So today, I am going in for my endometrial scratch!
I've been alone for a few days with a toddler and my crazy school schedule. My DD woke up at 3am the other night with Gastro vomiting everywhere (remember hubby is out of town), so I had to do everything by myself including two full hair washing baths in middle of night and 4 loads of laundry from all the blankets she wreaked havoc on. It was pretty terrible and then I missed my clinical which now I have to make up adding to my stress.
and TJ, we still need the make the sticky! Are you able to add it? I think we can add the main info Let me know what I need to do!!!

My kids have days where they're perfect angels and days where they're all lunatics. Guess which one yesterday was. I'm not sure if it's a result of getting bored at home that results in acting out but leaving the house usually helps. But I can't constantly be leaving the house. Why can't they be content at home and play without wanting to tear the house down and killing each other?

Hi! Carpets are getting cleaned today so I'm using this time to lounge on the couch and do all the internet things. I need to do things like pay bills, but so far I've spent my time on FB and TCF.
MellyKnu, I hope you ate all the donuts. luvboston, he peed in his ear? That is impressive.

This is a bit teal deer AW stuff, but I'll arblegarble it out anyhow. WF got bitten by a little girl her age (i.e. 15.5 months) this afternoon. No skin broken, but a red mark at the site up through bedtime. I didn't hear about it until I got home (which I'm fine with; some toddlers bite). WF's nanny was so upset. I walked through the door and she was like, "Bluefairy, I have bad news," and she just started crying. She's very emotional in general (in a positive sense) so more than anything else, it was just indicative of how much she loves WF. Anyway, getting to the point. As I was nursing her before bed, I started mentally spiraling a little about whether I had an appropriate reaction (like... I'm not upset? it's okay? the other nanny should have had a closer eye on the kid if she knew there were aggression/biting issues?) and it ended up in this very emo place where I was trying to imagine what it would feel like if WF ever had a verbally abusive partner (as I had at one point) and how I would feel in failing to protect her from that, and how my mom must have felt, even though I never told her about it, but have realized since that she clearly had some idea of what was going on. I was kind of fixating on how that must have felt for her, and what it would feel like for me if WF were ever to be in that situation and just... anyway. It's been a very emo night. I think maybe I'm having some prolactin adjustments from night weaning?
tl;dr WF got bitten by a human toddler today and it's fine.
bluefairy5, whoa. That is some spiral. I wouldn't have been upset, either FWIW. With the DV parallel, I think it's kind of apples and oranges. I mean, I get it, but it's not the same at all. Fucking prolactin.

My week has been crazy and it was supposed to be my last calm week for a while. Tuesday I was physically assaulted by a student (it really wasn't that bad, but I did end up pressing charges), and I had to leave for the remainder of the day as well as be seen by a doctor.
I've also been working really hard to come up with a detailed price list for cheer. It's been my goal since I took it over a couple of weeks ago to get the price knocked way down and I've succeeded.
We've had so many kids and teachers out due to the flu, so between my meetings and normal to do lists, I've been covering classes. No down time.
bluefairy5 I think your reaction was perfectly normal, but I'm here to send empathy about decreasing prolactin emotional spirals. Nightweaning. The shit that does to your hormones is insane. I couldn't sleep for like three hours the other night worrying about E's mobile somehow falling in her crib. Insane.

bluefairy5, spirals happen. It's ok. I'm not upset when E is bitten or bites someone. She gets knocked down by bigger kids (ok, all kids are bigger than her) and I just tell her to get back up. I want a resilient kid. You're doing great.
