I think I feel better today. We're supposed to have a playdate with friends this morning that got rescheduled from last week because our friends' whole house was sick. So playdate, car nap, and grocery store are our plans. budders, I'm jealous of your long break. Good luck with the toddler bed transition. Maybe V will enjoy the freedom and sleep better in strange places like the floor or in front of his door.
I'm trying to decide if I'll switch V's crib to the toddler bed this week. Sleep is still such an issue, and I can't tell if it will help or hurt our situation.
I feel like we have had very similar sleep situations. Since we switched J, most of the nights have been SOO much better, but the nights that are bad, are worse. On those nights we have been letting her cry it out in her room, so she ends up just sleeping on the floor in front of the door(FFFC?) Overall though, it was worth it for us.

Pushing myself to go to the gym, hopefully it helps with how sore I am. Then J and I are going to meet some friends at an indoor playground. Happy Friday!
Sunrise is so gorgeous today! Clouds were a bright pink and now they are turning into a light purple/lavender color. I can't get a good pic or I would share it. I don't have the nice tiffbot style view of the prairie skies so the trees are covering it in my pics!
I love that you posted this over 20 minutes ago and he top of the sun is barely peeking over the horizon here, like 8 hours west of you. The longetivity of the sunrises is usually the best part, so many different colours in that time!
We are going to my parents for the weekend when H gets off work today. H and I are going to a pro lacrosse game Saturday night with some of our best friends so going to leave the kids at the farm then.
It's a long weekend here, and H has next week off for winter break too (yay budders!) DS has a cough this morning, so hoping it doesn't turn into something too bad!

I feel like maybe I should try this. Im holding off just because I worry about her getting into trouble wandering around in there, no matter how saftey proofed it is! She'll find something someway somehow lol!

I was worried about her getting hurt on some things, so we moved her bookshelf out of the room for now and we moved her dresser into the closet. I knew she would still try to climb, even though they were mounted to the wall. Her room is pretty bare right now, just toys and books to distract her in the mornings. I've been getting almost an extra hour and half of sleep in the mornings with her entertaining herself.
pghtruelove yep same here, our nights have been way better since moving her to her bed. This is also around the age we moved DS in prep of baby and he loved it too. Now I'm sure if we have a baby 3 they'll end up in a crib until 3 years old hahaha. Good luck budders!!

So looking forward to the weekend. I always hope there'll be done catch up on sleep, but there never is. I'm either the definition of crazy or eternally optimistic.
Today is BH's last day of daycare! I ran out early this morning and picked up bagels for everyone, since I know his DCP loves bagels for breakfast.
Opening Night for baseball is tonight, but there's a 90% chance of cancellation because of weather. I won't be disappointed. Love baseball, but I don't need to watch every team parade around the field.

Yay, Friday!!
We're team crib for life, but DS also is still in a sleep sack and sleeping well in there, so I will put this transition off as long as humanly possible!
Also, he came down with yet another cough yesterday, and the fever set in last night, so I think we're on our third virus in about three weeks. Is it spring yet? Luckily, he seems to be doing pretty well with the help of Motrin this morning, so we're just chilling out and relaxing today hoping this passes quickly so we can still make the most of this weekend!

Morning all,
At work, counting down the hours until the 3 day weekend. M did better yesterday with the Speech therapist, and cried for 3-4 minutes instead of 10 like the first day, which I'm happy about.
Dinner tonight with two friends at a downtown Vegan restaurant. Then packing some stuff and heading out tomorrow morning with DH. I feel a bit guilty of leaving M with his grandparents, but I need a small break and some sleep! I can't wait for him to get older so we can enjoy trips together.

Okay.. this sounds so good. Maybe we'll try it out over the long weekend!
