Our local hair stylist for DD1 has been flaky lately. So I'm waiting with her at her old salon in NC for an 8 am appointment. Oh my.
Taking my bigs and their cousins for Girls Day Out later today! They are getting mani/pedi's and cupcakes for DD2's early bday celebration. Can't wait!
One of my good friends is in town and I'm going to see her today! I'm so excited because the last time she was in town I didn't get to see her because Sam had roseola.
It's supposed to be beautiful here this weekend so the kids will be able to play outside and we're going to grill out for dinner. I think we're supposed to have like 8 straight days in the 60s!
Sleeping in the same room as the toddler does not promote great sleep. Plus I forgot my glasses at home. DNW to put contacts in my tired eyeballs this early. Thankfully, I'm going on almost an hour of A just playing in her pack n play. She's just not quiet enough for me to fall back to sleep.
DS2 woke up at 2:30 crying this morning and didn't go back to sleep until 3:30. But everyone slept until 7 so that's ok. We've got tee ball practice for the first time this morning and I'm so excited! I hope DS1 really enjoys it, especially as we get into more practices and he gets older.
After that, I'm going shopping. On my own. We're supposed to wear workout clothing to professional development on Tuesday and I need new pants anyway, plus I'm really wanting chipotle now.
My random thing for the day - I'm thinking about getting my ears pierced. 30 years old and have never had it done. My dad wouldn't let my mom do it when I was little because he wanted me to make the choice. I had a fear of needles growing up, but multiple rounds of IVF and blood draws kind of fixed that issue. We'll see what I get into today.

Up at 6:00 to pump is basically my new wakeup. Just waiting for Elena to get up now, then on to our current normal of me leaving every three hours. Hoping we get a Max update today. No changes yesterday in his treatment.
We have a birthday party today at 3. There will be a butt load of kids there. Thankfully it's supposed to be in the 60's here today so hopefully the kids can play outside a little bit. Then nick is staying at my mom's tonight and ryan and I have a hot date at.....Trader Joe's. Going to get wild up in this bitch.

I would do naughty things to have a Trader Joe's here. I'm jealous of your lame date.

If there is something you want from there, PM me your address and I will send it to you. Fo realz
Thank God it's the weekend. DS's cold has turned into asthma and an ear infection, complete with fever. If it were a weekday, I'd be waking up at 5 to drive 2 hrs R/T to take him to MIL's. As much as this sucks, thank goodness it's not a school day. I was in his crib with him at 4 am while he happily tried to peel the mole off my face. I've always wanted to get it removed, but not like that (or at that hour).
Also, we have next Thurs-Tues off for carnival. Hurrah!
Toddler speech funny: DS seems to be trying to parrot short sentences. He asked for Dada when he woke up this morning. I said "Dada's in bed." He repeated "Dada's dead." Spooky as hell, kiddo.
One final thought: I have no idea how to parent without my boobs. I'm getting pressure to stop nursing but...no!
DS slept in til 7:30 which was awesome since I was up til 11:30 last night then again from like 1-2 when DH got home from Lyft driving.
We've been watching the Wiggles this morning, then DS brought me not 1 but both remotes and asked for "bubba" so now it's on Bubble Guppies! He cracks me up.

I love toddler words. Elena calls cats "deedle-oh." Water is "Lodle." Snack bars are "bah-nuh." She says, "oh!" before saying other words more often than not. "Oh, da." "Oh, Ty-sen." "Oh, up? Up?"

DH is gone for the weekend at a tournament out of town. I scheduled a play date at our house.
We went to Meijer this morning for fruit and a small snack for our play date. Dd1 knocked over a display of cupcakes. I was able to keep my cool but my face turned so red. All of the cupcake packages landed face down of course. I cleaned up the mess and took the ruined cupcakes to the bakery. The women were surprised I told them. They said it was no big deal and happens all the time but normally the mess is left.
The rest of the day is completely open for us and I am just deciding if I want to do something with three kids or not. The children's museum has a huge new exhibit opening so we may stop by.

We rented this awesome house with a bunch of our friends near Lake George. We are literally slopeside and we are watching people ski by the window while we eat breakfast (and drink mimosas!) The kids are playing wonderfully which is awesome.
I have a Galentine's date with my besties tonight. We're going to get our makeup done, going out to a fancy dinner, and then staying at a hotel. I'm most excited about not waking up at 6:30am tomorrow.

W seems like she's feeling better. Still not eating or drinking much but drank some milk for the first time this morning. We let her get some outside time even though it was raining. She just kept singing "rain, rain go away". No plans for the weekend.
A girl I went to elementary school with, and later high school, sent me and a few other girls a YouTube video. It's from her birthday party in 1992 that we were all at. I was 6. I am dying. Mostly at my bowl cut. My mom wanted me to look like Demi Moore in Ghost.
Tee ball was interesting. DS1 was the only kid who wouldn't run bases or try things at first. By the end, he did most everything, but I had to bribe him like no tomorrow. I also told him he'd never get to play again if he didn't do what the coaches told him to do. Meanwhile, I was chasing/pinning down a crazy and cranky DS2.
DH ran to a side job (of course, I'm so sick of being the only one home on the weekends). It's going to be in the low 80s today, so I think after nap time and my shopping time, we'll take the boys to the park and let them run.

So cute. I just giggle every time.
Write them down! I have some of DS' best words in my one-line-a-day journal. One of my favorites around 2 was "cemixer" AKA cement mixer.
W still refers to my bra as "bra-ccoli" and I really never want to correct her. She will hate me later for it I'm sure.
I live in a constant struggle where I want to buy A cute, trendy clothes but KNOW she will ruin them after one wear! Like those adorable white converse sneakers that literally everyone and their mom has, she'd rock those! But nope, waste of money I bought her these cute yellow skinny jeans and wanted her to wear them today wth a matching top, but alas it's beautiful out and we're going to the playground.

rachydc Why not go to consignment stores? They really only take fashionable trendy clothes and so its NBD if they get messed up. We've destroyed soooo many clothes. Ours has converse, vans, Toms, etc. I even found her cute doc martens and combat boots second hand. She literally scraped the front off of her docs the second day she wore them.
