Good Morning!
Your view looks so peaceful stcyct. Enjoy your alone time today.
Heading back to work today after our 3 day weekend. The poconos was fun, and some gambling was done since the ski conditions weren't the greatest. Today after work I'm meeting my former Speech Supervisor for some tacos and margaritas. She's been my professional mentor since I started practicing Speech Path, and I'm super excited to hang with her. Hoping for a not so busy day today. Hope everyone has a good one!
I've got... work going on, it's really just another Tuesday here for us. I've got extra coffee because DS for whatever reason kept crying out last night - he'd put himself back to sleep every time after a few minutes, so I know I shouldn't really complain, but was still waking us up every couple hours.
I am trying the "delay cook" feature on my new rice cooker for the first time today, so that counts as exciting for a Tuesday, right?
Morning!! Today's list includes bringing my car in to get the brakes done and tires rotated. (Thankfully I can borrow the in laws car for the day) Possibly meeting up with some moms at a park in the next big town over. I'm hoping to be productive while C naps and get our floors mopped and go through all of Cs old nb, 0-3 and 3-6 month boy clothes. I want to pull out anything I would put a girl in and a few "favorite" outfits. Everything else will get sold. Anyone have any tips on how to get some of the old "spit up" stains out of the onesies (thankfully it seems like it's only on the gender neutral stuff) I didn't realize how gross some of them looked before I packed them up (probably because I was in a hurry packing them up because we were moving)

Got an email last night at 8pm from my boss asking for me to go through some depositions to pull information and exhibits to give to our clients early this morning. Except I don't have the depositions at home, DH's car is in the shop so I have to do drop off this morning, and it's BH's first day of preschool. So "early this morning" is not going to happen.

ugh I feel your pain! At the hotel this weekend we had to share the same room with the kids and I got next to no sleep because of the crying out! I wonder if he does that normally and I just don't hear him since we are separate rooms and I don't have a monitor?
Either way it was not fun!
We still have the monitor since W's room is so far from ours now in the new house, so we hear him do this maybe once a week-ish or so? Although, normally it'll just be once a night, not like last night every couple hours. I'm guessing dreams are likely the cause? Hopefully you're back to quieter nights again now that you're home again!
I'm sitting here at work with a 5 hour online training on performance management on one screen and anything but on the other screen.
In other less than exciting news, my car wouldn't turn on for over an hour yesterday at the Chik-fil-a parking lot (due to an existing and normally easy to resolve issue with the theft system) and then unexpectedly turned back on and has been acting normal ever since. FX I don't have any more episodes with it anytime soon.
Oh and my kids are officially addicted to cereal and don't want to eat anything else at home for the time being. I'm not fighting it too much since I know they are still getting regular food at daycare... also it could be worse, right?
We had plans to have a fun afternoon in the city-go to the civic center with the walk in pools and wave pool and indoor playground..the kids had cold on the weekend but nothing too bad and have been acting normal all weekend, but DS seems to have regressed a bit again. So we'll see what the afternoon brings!
L peed and pooped on the toilet last night! I was changing her diaper before bed (I do that in the bathroom) and she walked over to the toilet to put the seat on. This is fairly normal, she likes sitting up there, but lately I've told her she can't have toilet paper unless she goes because she just likes sitting up there and wiping her bum and it was getting to be..adorable but too much haha. So she stared me right in the eyes, held her breath till her face turned red pushing, probably near gave herself a hernia, and peed! So she got her toilet paper, then stared at me again like "oh it's not over mom I want more TP" and went for the gusto the second time around. DS was standing right beside her so proud lol!

Lol, I love it tiffbot! C peed on the potty a few times this weekend and now tells you as she's going in her diaper. It cracks me up because we'll just be playing as she'll yell "peein'!"

Ok, so I know I was asking for this by installing a camera, but it's become a pattern where the babysitter turns the tv on and lets M watch cartoons ALL day (with the exception of their twice daily walks on the boardwalk). I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt by asking her, Oh, what did you do with Matthew today? And she straight out lied to me and said that they played with Duplos, and colored, and read books. Meanwhile she's sitting on the couch on her phone, and he's vegging in front of the tv.
Yesterday, since my MIL slept over because we were away, as soon as MIL left, the babysitter says, "OK, Matthew, since today is a holiday, you can do whatever you want," and proceeded to turn on the cartoons.
UGH. I don't want to get rid of her because M LOVES her. He's so happy when she comes and he's getting used to all these new therapists, and I feel bad changing that up on him. If we keep her, it'll be until September because that's when he starts daycare.
holliberry28, did you guys tell her you had a camera?
If not, I would probably say that the therapists want more structure for him throughout the day to practice certain skills. Maybe make up a chart or "schedule" of activities that she should be doing with him throughout the day.

First day went as well as can be expected. LBB was amazing at drop off, bringing BH over to play with him and his friends. BH cried when the classes split up into their respective rooms, which caused his teacher to start crying (today was her first day back from maternity leave). He woke up crying from nap, but she held him and he calmed down. Other than those two incidents the day was uneventful. And one of LBB's friend's little sister got moved into his class, so at least he knows someone there.
