this was yesterday. It's a good thing she's cute because she only got one 4.5 hour chunk if sleep last night and has been a a fussy girl since 3:30 this morning.

I did it! I registered for a 5k for March 25th. it's on schedule for me to start the running plan for zero to 5k in the women's running magazine Monday, then do the 5k. :-) I don't know why it took me so long to realize I'll just start using the office gym instead of being silly and waiting for the weather to clear up.

I've done C25k a couple times. It works! Good luck!
BAbies are napping and I'm about to watch the weeks episode on This is Us. Sure to be a cryfest 😭😭😭
I need to watch this. We don't have DVR or cable (but get basic channels) though and I'll never sit down at the scheduled time. How else can I watch it?!
My husband downloads them for me, but I think it's on Hulu.

For the ladies that delivered a little early ( mrsp121308, Lucy), do you think your babies are developmentally closer to their true age? Or their adjusted age? I'm just curious.
DD seems more advanced than DS right now. She seems to recognize our faces better and will actively bat at toys, laugh etc. DS seems closer to his adjusted age and is just starting to smile more (when prompted, not only at sight) and bats at the toys less. I'm not worried, it's just interesting.
We just had out first poopy diaper leak. All down the leg of her pants into her socks. She had been contently sitting in for who knows how long. Picked her up to feed and smelled it first. She was not a fan of the sink bath she got.

Anyone ever hear the term "purple crying"? My husband's co-worker keeps bringing it up. I'm getting a little sick of hearing about it. I guess it's when babies cry for no reason. Jane pretty much always has a reason, it just takes me a while to figure it out.

They brought it up at our infant care class. It's another explanation for the crazy crying instead of saying colic.
requiressnacks, I think Cora is fairly spot on for her actual age -- as in, she's doing what she should be, but doesn't do too much earlier than expected.
I weighed Cora at DD's dr appt yesterday. My once 4 1/2 lb nugget is now a 13lb 4oz super chunk.
catherineoctober, my other babies did it, but at the time they just called it colic. I think it's great that they've come up with a new name for it with a definition. It helps people who are dealing with it really understand that there is nothing wrong, they aren't doing anything wrong, and that they just have to wait it out. I think it could help prevent some shaken babies.

I've been up and running since 6 am. And I'm still not ready for work tomorrow. As in no outfit in mind. I've pumped 3x's today and was happy I got a good amt in a short time. But don't look fwd to doing that at the office. The space is basically a sectioned off room in the bathroom with a curtain. And today I had to take my shirt off in order to pump comfortably. 😶
crimpgirl I'm definitely going to order extras and gift them too! I did soft cover to start, but I may want to upgrade. You'll have to let me know what you think when you get yours! The soft covers are actually pretty nice.
There's a lot of cuteness up in here! They're all getting so big!
We did a trial run with the babysitter Tuesday to make everything would go ok, which it did. I got to enjoy almost an entire day ALL TO MYSELF - it was awesome!
requiressnacks, I think she acts pretty close to her true age. The difference you are seeing really might be more of boy vs girl. It seems like there's almost always a difference between the sexes.

I think out might be right. They are so different!
