We use to have a sliding glass door on or back deck that the lock would just fall, so we had to be careful to not shut it all the way. That was super annoying when we were smokers and outside a lot.
I'm almost finished entering things for the consignment sale, just have to find the bin of toys to enter. I'm hoping to do better than I did last sale and also hoping to find a few outside big toys for M.
Stupid dogs who jump off the bed 7+ times in the middle of the night and babies who wake up at 530 just to babble for an hour make for a very tired mama.
after eating half a burger and a handful of fries yesterday - all day long - i stopped for a bagel at panera to start my friday morning off.
I am nervous ampaints. I left with unanswered questions and then more questions as I didn't really meet with anyone related to the surgery itself. I did my per-admission paperwork, paid a ton of money, was stuck with a needle 3 times to draw 2 vials of blood and went over a questionnaire about my surgery history, medical history and what not. 3 freaking hours. mind you, i was told it would take an hour.
Things have been.. tense.. around our house the last week. DD has been pushing a lot of buttons lately which is causing stress between h and I. He is also going next week to start spinal injections for his herniated discs which are now causing severe sciatica, so he's been a ball of nerves about that.
ampaints, i probably could call the surgeons office but i don't have time to do so today (all my spare time is on here, priorities). I just need to let it go. I have no control over it anyway. And my questions aren't make it or break it, 99% of them are trivial.

So DS was cooperative with the doctor and nurse, barely flinches with the finger prick and then fought me like hell when I tried to get him dressed and lost his shit getting back in the car. I guess you win some you loose some.
@betweenthelines, I hope things get better and the shots help his pain. Can y'all go on a date this weekend?
Thanks. He's been in too much pain so he doesn't want to do anything which has also been adding to the tension between us and has been depressing him. He is very short fused atm so we are probably better off not going anywhere lol

So I know I comment a lot about A's teething but Im legit at the end of my rope. What more can I do for my girl? I've tried 10 different teethers, frozen washcloths, Tylenol every 4 hours.. Etc etc.. The only thing she likes is to chew on her fingers which she has now broken skin on and her pointer is swollen. I looked at her today as she was crying in my arms and she looked just like the little baby that was put on my chest 18 months ago. I can't just let her suffer
taketheshot, we are there too. Plus maybe thrush. Pedialyte popsicles saved MH on Wednesday when he kept him. I think ibuprofen works better for N than Tylenol.
taketheshot, I am so sorry she is hurting so much. This may sound completely ridiculous, but have you taken her to the dr? I know of some kids who end up with ear infections when they are teething. Maybe have her checked just in case. (I also recall DS1 having double EI when he was about 18 months, and I had NO CLUE, he wasn't pulling his ears or anything, I think I took him in after 3 days of loose bm's). I use Camillia drops for M and will give frozen wash cloths that have been soaked in chamomile tea. Can be soothing. Frozen berries or frozen yogurt tubes are also favourites. Sometimes I just make him chamomile tea with a little bit of honey to sip on as well. Bug hugs to you both.

taketheshot, i also believe you can give advil every 4 hours while tylenol is every 6 hours.
and maybe i'm a bad mom but i just give pain reliever and carry on.
& taketheshot I am no dr, and you can and should always confirm with YOUR ped, but, you can give them even sooner. Technically at the same time, even. But what I was told by my ped to always watch for was making sure each are taken within their time frames.
Quick google confirms:
If you need additional pain relief, you can combine aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen with acetaminophen. However, do not take aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen within 8-12 hours of each other. Also, watch out for pain medications that might be included in combination products such as those used for cough and cold
So, with that being said, taketheshot, if it were me with ds and I gave him tylenol and saw he was still in so much pain 2-3 hours later, I would definitely give Advil.
