How is everybody's week going so far? Anybody else feel like there's no way it can only be Tuesday?
It has been a weird weather week for us this week which I think doesn't help the fact that I am super tired. Last week it was in the high 50s which was almost record breaking for this area, then we got a blizzard over the weekend, and now it is currently raining outside. Mother nature is quite confused. All I know, is I want to take a nap!

I had vacation last week so coming back is always exhausting. Last night I had my first middle of the night leg cramp. No fun! My yoga teacher had said they are very common from weeks 23-28.

My sympathies on the leg cramp! They are probably the worst thing ever.
The leg cramps are awful! I have never had so many charlie horses than when I was pregnant. Lots of water and bananas!
So, we are debating taking a trip to Charleston to visit my parents at the end of March. I'm starting to have the mom guilt that soon DD will not be our only baby and thought a few days away would be nice. I will be in my 29th week. I should be fine for flying right? It's a quick 2.5 hour direct flight from Boston. I will ask my MW, but wanted to see if any ladies had any advice/experience here.

No experience but I would say if you feel fine you should be fine. I will be flying at about 33 weeks potentially if I get approval from the doctor at my 32 week check.
I just had the pleasure of an unexpected vaginal ultrasound.... here I was thinking I would never have to experience that....
Everything ok? I have had more of them than I can even count, thanks IF! lol
Thanks for asking, I was going to try to update when I did my ticker later, but I'll prob forget. I had a routine US to make sure growth was ok (prior gestational hypertension) and I guess my cervix measurement was odd... but it was just the angle thankfully.
I fully respect anyone who experiences that lovely "wand" routinely. TMI but thank God I DTD (finally) with DH last week or that would have been much worse!
starsandshamrocks123 - They used the wand at my anatomy scan to get an accurate view of my cervix. You're not alone!
cateyes - Weird weather here all winter. Yesterday was 50s. Today it might get up to 60, but rain. Then maybe snow Thursday. Really crazy.
teachermomtobe - Sorry for the leg cramp! Hope it's only one and not a pattern.
lulu783 - From what I've read, and per my midwife, unless your doc sees an issue, you can fly up until full-term. Then it's a risk of you going into labor away from home. Some airlines have a rule where after a certain point you have to carry a signed letter from your doctor with some basic info about your pregnancy. For example, here's United's policy:
Any woman in the first eight months of pregnancy will be allowed to travel on a United flight without medical documentation.
A woman traveling during her ninth month of pregnancy must have the original and two copies of an obstetrician’s certificate, which must be dated within three days (72 hours) prior to her flight departure. To best assure the pregnant traveler’s safety, it is preferable to have a certificate dated within one day of flight departure.
The certificate must state that the obstetrician has examined the customer and found her to be physically fit for air travel between the specified dates. The estimated birth date of the baby must be after the date of the last flight on the itinerary.
The customer should provide the original certificate to a United Representative at check-in. The remaining copies are for reference during air travel.

cateyes - the temperature hasn't varied much here, but for the past week or so, we have woken up to snow, which alternates with rain and sunshine for a few hours, then the alternation is between rain, clouds, and sun for the rest of the day. No leg cramps here (yet), but if I walk too much or carry DS in the Ergo (he is only 22 lbs and I don't wear him long), I get cramps in my butt off and on for the rest of the day. Just one particular muscle that will suddenly "zinggg!"

My two toddlers are both sick and cranky so this week isn't going so great It stinks too because DH is working this weekend. I've been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks the past couple days when I'm on my feet (which is basically all day). It's weird to me because I don't think I had any BH until around 35 weeks my last pregnancy. Everything seems to be happening much faster this time around
My tax return hit my account this morning and, like I suspected, it will be gone by 4pm. Trying to get everything squared away for maternity leave. I don't think I've ever spent $8k so fast. Adulting sucks.
I mean it's responsible stuff like prepaying our mortgage, our cars, and daycare but it's just so....not fun. This was kind of my justification all along on taking 12 weeks leave (I'm only covered at 60% for 5 weeks).

We are in Hawaii. Had a great full first day yesterday and hoping rain holds off for today. Only issue is that the kids weren't big fans of the kids club at our resort, and that was one of the main reasons we picked this resort and spent more on it. Fingers crossed they will be ok being there for nearly two hours today while DH and I go to the spa. I'm planning to bribe them with ice cream or a trip to the gift shop after. First world problems
lulu783, my OB is conservative and she likes her patients to stop flying at 32 weeks. She says the ACOG guidelines say 35 weeks. I fly all the time for work and plan to stop at 32.5 weeks since I have a couple out of town meetings in my 32nd week. So while it wouldn't hurt to ask, I'd be shocked if a doctor told you not to fly at 29 weeks in a pregnancy without complications.
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
violetrose sorry about the sick kids, I hope they feel better soon.
AFM, I am finally feeling much better, but DH has gotten sick. Whenever he complains I'm quick to remind him that at least he can take the meds! Just hoping that DS doesn't get it as he only got over a different illness a couple weeks ago.

lulu783 we are on Oahu, at the Disney resort. We're not huge Disney people but heard good things about it for travel with small children.
DH Has complained a little bit about the character stuff but we've been to other islands before and done more authentic Hawaiian stuff, so he can deal with the Disney stuff in order for us to have a bit of relaxation while I'm pregnant and we're traveling with two preschoolers
DS has his first ear infection and I had to pick him up from school. We put an offer on a house over the weekend and they accepted. Now we need to get my mom's house ready to sell by Saturday and work is crazy. UGH. Oh and I leave for DC on sunday. I need a vacation.
Sorry it's so stressful but yay on accepting your offer!

lulu783 I am flying out for vacation between 29-30 weeks and honestly the only thing I did was check that the airline didn't have restrictions... It didn't even occur to me to check with my doctor. I'm sure it will be fine.
I finally got around to taking pictures of my travel system and posted it for sale this afternoon. I was prepared for no one to want it (after all, I don't!), but I had a response within 5 minutes! Yay! I can't wait to get it out of my house.
Seems like it would make a good bed rest project, I'm going to check it out
I can't stop checking in either. Poor April - I can't imagine laboring for days and having all of America watching 😜
I just can't get over the fact that she's been pregnant for 15+ months and that baby will be 150 lbs and 6 feet tall. Damn. Poor lady has been trying to get that massive thing out of her for at least 7 days and has to do it all on her own!
