We had huge storms last night and a tornado 2 towns over. It was the first time I've ever been away from DD during seriously scary weather and I.....did not do well with it. Worst drive home of my life. Everyone is safe and fine now but I didn't like feeling helpless at all!
On a happier note my cycles seem to finally be regulating which will hopefully make TTC #2 a bit easier, hooray!
I think we had the same storms from your area come over us around 3 a.m. - though luckily they weren't sever at that point - just loud. I'm not sure how DS slept through it all, but he did!
I also decided I'm going to start logging my calories to try and get myself to be more accountable again to get the whole losing weight thing back on track. It's pretty easy to find individual food items on the tracker on FitBit, but for those who track/count calories - is there a better way to figure out your meals? Or do you just enter all the ingredients that go into a meal individually? I seem to remember there being some website/app where you can put in the whole recipe, and then it tells you the per serving calorie count, but it's been a while since I actually would have used it.
jillywilly mh really likes my fitness pal app for tracking. I personally give up after a few days because I hate doing it, but he swears by it.
You can scan barcode on basically any food item you buy and it will come up, so you don't have to manually plug everything in.
I've heard good things about that. FitBit has a scanner too, I'm just thinking when I cook - do you put in like, 1 tsp of olive oil, and literally every other thing that goes into a dish? Maybe I'm just over-thinking and should keep it simpler so I have a chance of sticking to it, LOL. I need to start doing this again because I think my main problem is a little candy bar here, a handful of potato chips there, and not really "counting" those types of things when I think about how/what I've eaten in a day.
DS is at school and had a crappy drop off so that sucked. LO is home with H today, and I'm at work about to eat some oatmeal. Same old same old.
So I caught an episode of that Meet the Putnam's show on TLC. I know there was some talk on parenting about it but I forgot exactly what was said. Has anyone seen the show? Or remember the inside-info that was discussed on parenting?
michyme123 I am really hoping this is the last of the super wintery winter temps! The forecast gives me some hope, by the time you get back hopefully it'll be better!
Glad everyone is safe after bad weather!
DS has gotten the idea in his head lately he wants TWO babies, and specifically a baby brother. A couple weeks ago DD was carrying two dolls around and I said they must be twins and he goes "mom can you have twins?". He's decided he's naming his next baby Ian June (his and DD's names combined lol). Yep, my son has baby fever.
veggiemo basically the dad is a controlling, abusive asshole. Per many, many, many people who know them IRL.
(I knew you would know, I almost tagged you!)
I was pretty sure that was the gist of it but I know there was some more specifics. I'll do some googling. I seriously have no judgment of their family dynamic, whatever works for them. But then when the one daughter wanted to move out, the house reaction had me floored. That should not be something that needs to be voted on, like WTAF?
jillywilly, I'm a MFP user as well. I've used that and WW successfully. I like that MFP is free. There's also a new (to me) feature where you can input a recipe from online then the app will figure out the ingredients and the calorie count per serving. It's pretty awesome. When I did WW fruit was considered 'free' so no points. That's stuck in my head and I hardly ever count the calories for fruit.
