Hi everyone! G is being particularly cute and silly today. Now that we have had breakfast we are going to play for a few hours. Then after lunch I am putting her in the car and we are heading to a friend's house. She lives 45 minutes away which is a hassle but G has a great time with her DD.
DH. Stop trying to rush our kid just because you forgot you have a meeting that you're now going to be late for. It takes her 1 million hours to eat a meal. You know this.
So girls day on Saturday REALLY means (according to my friend):
Not leaving to go shopping an hour away until 3:30 pm AND bringing her 3 year old because "she needs summer clothes and is a diva so she needs to be there to pick them out".
This went from something that sounded fun to...not so fun.
I wanted a kid free time with my friends. Now if I go it's no longer kid free.

I am sitting in my car in a parking lot. My friend isn't home. She is at the store because I am like 10 minutes early. It's fine because G is asleep in the back and the more she sleeps, the better. Also G's nose is whistling and it's making me giggle but I don't want to laugh and wake her.

So I guess that means she won't be going to the bars either?

Just catching up but this really sucks. That seems to have changed from a girls day to tagging along on her family shopping trip.
At the mall playplace with W. She and another younger girl were playing in a car, the girl wanted out but couldn't climb out by herself. Cue W patting her back and hugging her while she cried for her mom.
Everything the girls said "mama" W would point at me. The girl was like WTF are you pointing out this strange woman? Can't you see I'm in a crisis?

G and I are finally home. We had a long day out. It was fun and all but my friends daughter is going through an "I don't want to share" phase so she took every single toy that G was playing with out of her hands. At first G was didn't care and would go play with something else. Then when it got closer to bedtime her tune changed and she would cry every time the other kid took something. Her parents tried really hard to get her to share and she is usually really good about it. I am hoping it was just a bad day.
