Baby slept better last night. I'm going into work this morning, I'm doing a funeral Saturday. Sad that's why I'm going in, but it'll be weirdly nice to go in for a bit. We were supposed to be going to my parents' house this weekend but that's postponed now. So, I'm trying to figure out an activity for DS1 to do so we can get out of the house!

Oh, is this today? My other post in yesterdays thread said: Still pregnant, have a grumpy toddler, am not happy with H this morning. Am probably going to make bad food choices all day.

We had a really good night last night so I am happy. We got a 4 hour stretch, and then two 3 hour stretches. All in the bassinet.
My toddler however has learned to undress herself and unhook her diaper so she's soaked through her Jammie's two nights in a row. I honestly might duct tape her diaper on tonight.

We had a good night's sleep here. I did get up 4 times but it was over 10 hours. But now S is now fussy and won't settle down anywhere but on my chest. I had plans to go out but it looks like that won't be happening for a while.

billybumbler - Call the OB about your boob and symptoms. Sounds like potential mastitis. Nip it now before flu symptoms set in. And sorry about the nanny. That's tough.

Baby girl gave me a 5 hour stretch last night. And baby boy slept soundly in my arms in the recliner from 3am-5:30am which is his usual witching hour. I'm calling it a win!

oldbaylover1024 I didn't think it was mastitis because the boob wasn't red or hot. Well now it is, and I have a fever. Uuuggh. I left a message for the OB, let's see what she says.
flyinghorses6 - I know people that legit used duct tape to keep kiddos diaper on.
wildflower810- Hugs....baby listen to your momma and start moving!!
AFM- Nursing and then taking babies to pedi dentist for lip and tongue tie evaluations. Lil G for sure has a tongue tie so wanna see when we can get in for a revision. He's gonna be so mad...not looking forward to the stretches.

We have zero plans today - finally! It's the first day since C was born that we have no doctor visits, meetings, or appointments. Yay! Just me, MH, and C chilling at home.
And he's sleeping pretty well. He seems to be on a NICU schedule still. And I'll take it!
I think I may have my boobs under control, too. Only took about a week...

We are staying home today and...it's exhausting. It would have been easier to bundle everyone up and go to target. DS is testing me, and LO is catnapping/refusing to be put down.
I'm dealing with a sicky baby today. I called the pedi and they said just let the stomach bug run its course unless it gets worse then to call them. I sent DS1 to my parents house so I could snuggle N all day.

You have all my sympathies. Mastitis sucks. FX your OB can call in a script without seeing you.

DS2 has been nursing non stop for the last 3 hours. He's given me like 2 15 minute breaks. Of course this is the one day I really need to be able to do something
My baby is fussy today. Today is not the day for this. My mom passed 3 years ago today. I'm going out to dinner with my dad and sister while H watches the baby. Minorly freaking out about leaving her...
My boobs are a little extra sore today. Maybe my milk will actually come in this time! Cautiously hopeful, but at the same time, I just bought a giant tub of formula. I didn't even get drops until 9 days pp with #1 so I guess we will see what happens here.
There's nothing quite like finding baby poop in your fingernails
I sat DS on my lap while getting his bath ready. Like20 seconds max... pooped on me. I then found more poop on my leg like an hour later. Parenthood can be disgusting
Still here, still pregnant as well. I've been timing contractions this morning, but they are all over the place in regards to painfulness and very irregular. Maybe it's the start of something. Maybe not. It's hard to get my hopes up when I've had hours of this before.

My kids are desperate to get out today and of course it's raining. I think we'll try to hit up a playgroup today while I sit in the corner with DS not touching anything and then probably give the girls a bath when we get home to try to avoid the unavoidable germs. I don't blame them since I was avoiding groups while pregnant so it's been like over a month of them going nowhere but the grocery store and my ILs.
I think DH felt bad he was kind of useless last night since DS only wanted boob all night so he took him at 7 and let me sleep 2 more hours alone and now he's making me a big breakfast. It's probably also partly that he's still horney. Probably mostly that.

Saw the LC again today. Z will nurse but not complete feedings. It appears she gets frustrated waiting for the second let down and either goes to sleep or starts screaming. And since we don't want to starve our child we eventually give her the bottle. We have a plan to try to "train" her to work for it, but I'm not entirely optimistic. There's also a possibility that my nipples are just too big for her; I've now been moved up to size XL phalanges. If I had unlimited time and patience we could probably overcome that, but I don't want to spend the rest of my maternity leave fighting with her. So, we're going to give it a max of two more weeks then possibly its decision time, and I may become exclusively pumping.

So we have had some family drama surrounding Sarah's name. They refuse to use the "h" because it's a little awkward in their languages (not English obviously). I was getting multiple emails and texts with her name misspelled and it was driving me nuts. MH called them and asked them to spell her name right, and my parents basically refused. I was really upset about this and called the hospital to ask about the name change process. Turns out they hadn't processed the paperwork yet. So we changed it to Sara without an "h" to avoid her dealing with her grandparents misspelling her name for years to come. It's done now but I am still angry and upset about it. I don't even want to see them and when I think about I want to cry.
