Welp, I pretty much updated ya'll in my other thread, but just for a recap - basic blood tests show that I'm pretty much as healthy as I can be right now. Just waiting on the specialist to call so I can go for more specialized tests.
Hubby was off this week and I had 3 days off in a row so we're just hanging out and talking a lot about what's going to be happening in the near future He jokes a lot but he's totally on board lol

QOTW - For habit, ummm, my procrastination? I'm so bad about leaving things to the absolutely last second, ugh.
Can't live without some chocolate, yo! We usually get some dark chocolate for the week, but we ran out early last week because someone *cough*hubby*cough* didn't grab enough so I was jonesing for some really bad. It helps keep my sugar cravings in check, which considering that I'm doing an excess sugar/starchy carbs detox this week is really helpful.

Oh! Is anyone else keeping tabs on April?

Hi all! I am new here. I just recently had a loss at 6 weeks. Last Saturday I found out in the ER, but based on my numbers, it had happened 1-2 days earlier I think. Then, the way things worked out, I ended up with a really crummy doctors appointment this past Wednesday where I didn't even see a doctor, just a nurse, and got some info that I happen to disagree with, but I don't need to go into all that here. I have not been in a great headspace in the last week.

Bad habit: I pick at the dry skin on my lips and it truly is a bad habit. It drives DH nuts. I think it is an anxious behavior, and I am continually trying to kick it.

Something I can't live without: Having something to read. I am a book fiend and my to read list is at least 50 books long. I am in the library every week.

Welcome briarrose. I'm so sorry for your loss and that you're not getting good information. If you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them if I can.

Thanks @led. My big issue is that my clinics stance on TTC is having to wait two months. I did get that from an OB nurse. DH and I feel differently, and neither of us is thrilled with how I was treated last week, so we are working on deciding if I am going to switch practices. I would rather not because of convenience and not a lot of choices anyway, but I don't know. I am still figuring out my feelings there. I actually had a better ER experience than follow up experience, which, of course, was frustrating.

I'm so sorry, briarrose. That says a lot since ER experiences tend to be pretty awful! I'm sorry they treated you so terribly, though. That's not right. As for the waiting, every doctor's office is different in what they recommend. Some will say next cycle anywhere to waiting three cycles. It's frustrating that there's not a consistent recommendation.

briarrose, welcome, and I'm sorry for your loss. I had a bad follow up experience too =( I'm lucky that I had a choice between 2 hospitals, but I know not everyone has that option. I hope you're able to figure out something that works for you going forward.
LED is right in that every doctor is different in their recommendations. I know around here most doctors will recommend waiting at least for one cycle, just to get your hormones back to a decent level.

@eliida, work hours are less crazy, but work itself is kind of nuts. We have a lot of drama going on right now, so while I normally love my job and put a good amount of effort in, right now I'm basically just going in and getting what I need done and getting out. It probably doesn't help that I've got a lot on my plate right now, so my brain just isn't in it. I don't think I mentioned the cafe yet, have I?
I did a sugar detox last year, so this wasn't as hard as it would have been otherwise. Last year definitely did suck though. I literally had withdrawal symptoms, and I was not fun to be around.
Hopefully the plan moving forward will work out. I've got good IVF vibes out there already, so I'll send some your way =)

We had our WTF apt yesterday. Not much he could really say.
75% likely to have been a chromosome prob. He says our embryo for the next try looks good and has a 90% chance of surviving thaw. He said I didn't do anything to contribute to the CP and to stop second guessing anything I did or didn't do. You know, the usual.

H asked a good question, can a healthy egg and a healthy sperm still have issues with the cells dividing. Yes.

So. It's really just another round of bad luck really.

We will try with our last frostie next cycle.

4furrypaws, no reason. that is just their standard waiting time. I was not even able to see my nurse practitioner because she said it was "out of her scope" so her nurse just talked to an OB nurse and relayed the information to me. I had the option of making another appointment with an OB, but at that point I was not wanting to deal with it anymore, so I am not planning on going for another appointment since I am 99% sure my system has got things all taken care of and I am not experiencing any problems.
