Well my ex's dog got diagnosed with lung cancer today and has a month or so. We got her together and I can't tell if I'm emotionally invested or emotional because of hormones.
shehulk723, I.am so sorry. Having now answers is crap. Hugs!
We made it to Canada! The plane ride was looooong. The babies barely slept. But were very good. A few crying times for both but they were overtired and over stimulated. Can't really complain. They are finally getting their time switched over. Thank goodness. I am so tired from waking up so early but its been great ao far. so hqppy to be home.

Had H's follow up today. He lost another 10lbs in less than two weeks. He is 5'9 and weighs 128lbs. The GI upped his steroid dose by a lot and wants him to give it 4-5 more days and if there's no improvement, then she wants to get more aggressive and try biologics like Humira. He also has thrush and possibly an infection so now he's gotta take a bunch of other meds. His tongue and throat are so swollen that it's almost impossible for him to take all the meds he's on, but hopefully we can knock out the thrush and then that will be easier.

Wow, thrush is so terrible. I'm glad he had a follow up and has a plan though! A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with Crohn's and Humira has really helped him.
EllieT we are also in the sick all month camp. Have you taken him to the doctors? Maybe it's his ears. We went back to doctors and they said sometimes when the cold remains it can turn bacterial. Hope everyone feels better and sleeps soon.
No, it's okay, EllieT. We're all being pushed to our own edges. It's okay to be stressed by your own situation.
I flew home alone with a crying baby yesterday, which was stressful. Then she slept until about midnight and has been up since. My husband is - once again - out of town and I'm at the end of my rope. I have to go to work, prepare for a presentation and interview next week, find time to finish experiments, and continue to feel like I finish third all the time behind my baby's and husband's needs.
I can't balance it all. And I hate that I keep being asked to do more than I can handle with no regard to my own needs.

M keeps pinching me and scratching me. It's painful and annoying. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also....I had myself psyched up to give notice at work tomorrow. But my boss is on PTO. Sooo I'll probably delay it another month or so. Hi my name is coffee and I don't know how to quit work.

bocaburger I was looking at the hdbd page and my four year old said it was very cute the twins are taking care of each other in the one of her stroking his head:) coincidentally my 4 yo often strokes Ms hair:)
We just got out of the sleep regression. It was...rough and lasted a few weeks. We came out of it with two teeth, crawling, pulling up on everything, and a bedtime that is 30min later.

I'll be following for suggestions too. I have bruises from the pinching. I've been removing his hand and saying "ouch that hurts." Then I try to redirect him and not play with him for a few min. I've only been doing this for a week, so who knows if it'll work, but he thinks it's funny when I say ouch.

Blah - mine scratches me and full on grabs my face with her little nails. I usually take her hand, look at her and say "Ouch." Then I say "gentle" and let her hand soft run along my face.
She stares at me with a quizzical and intent look.
In better news, last night the girls and I had dinner at my dad's house which was nice. And he lives across the street from a guy who works at (manages maybe, I'm not sure) an awesome local brewery. Well when the beer comes off the line, they scan it and if it's not filled enough, they can't sell it. So they have pallets of beer that is just slightly below their fill line that they give to their employees for free. So the guy gives my dad a ton of free beer, so last night my dad sent me home with a bunch of free beer. Yay free beer haha.
And it's 10 am this morning and I've managed to take out the trash (I've been busy and it kinda piles up and the dumpster is far away so this is a feat for me haha), get a load of dishes in the washer and make breakfast. I'm feeling accomplished. Thank you coffee haha. When Dd2 gets up from her nap, we're going to get together a bunch of laundry (which I've also let pile up) and the girls and I will go to my mom's to do it. It's so expensive to do it here, like $6 a load and the washers are tiny. So I do it at her house for free haha. Then she's going to watch the girls while I go to work this evening.
One more on the random crappy sleep last night. DD2 was so restless, and she YELLS randomly when squirming in half sleep. It would be funny if it wasn't keeping me awake all night. I ws afraid she would wake up her sister.
Add on that we took my car in to get some repairs done yesterday, only to find out there are other, potentially deadly, issues that this place doesn't have the equipment to repair. We find out today, probably, if their buddy shop across the street can fix it for under the quote price we got approved. Otherwise... SO's job may be in jeopardy, because it requires a car. Sigh. Every effing money-draining thing.
