Ugh, we're on hour three of continuous eat, pee, cry, eat, poop, cry cycle. I think we have burned through like 8 diapers in the last hour. Girl will not tolerate one tiny drop of anything in her diaper without throwing a fit. Looks like a long night ahead. Maybe she will calm down soon!

I am tentatively laying down in bed. DS has been way too easy tonight. I feel it's a trap. Although being alone tonight he'd be doing me a real solid by being a normal, not gassy, not screaming child.

DH has decided to pretend he is sleeping instead of helping with diaper changes. Well, that just means she will have to lie on the bed next to him and scream for a minute while I wash the poop off my hand and then strap on my pillow for feeding her. I am irritated tonight not only because of that, but because a coworker of mine who always has to be the center of attention sent out an all staff email with my baby deets without asking me because it was on Facebook. I know fb is pretty much public domain, but still. This girl is just always pissing me off being a drama queen. Not sure why we are fb friends. Well, not any more. I feel irrationally PO'd like ragey about this. Anyway. It must be late. Nothing makes sense at 1 am with no sleep in sight.
@sweatieheart32 that's totally obnoxious if your coworker. Ok Facebook or not, sending out an email with your orchard news is not cool. It's one thing to just talk about it, as I know my coworkers did, but to send our s formal announcement...that should only gone from you.
I'm up. Just had to get a new swaddle cause P peed all over hers when I was changing her. Oops. She's chugging now so hopefully will be back down soon.
I posted a bunch of her newborn pics we got back to IG and FB before I went to bed and woke up to a ton of very nice comments. Apparently people are impressed that we have a white couch, Lolol.

My newborn is very sleepy. She only eats for 15ish minutes and then passes out. I'm kind of worried about her weight, because of this. I guess we'll see what they say tomorrow morning.... I can't wait to go home. I know there will be a toddler there, but it will be so nice to be able to sleep in chunks longer than 1 hour at the most. I've been mostly getting a series of 30 minutes. Not. Enough.
I think I'm giving diaper duty to my H this weekend. Because N has been under the weather, I've seriously changed poopy diapers every 2 hours, sometimes less. I feel really bad for the baby but I'm so sick of changing a diaper and then 10 minutes later hearing him take a shit again.

shawnabm1320, 15 min feeds sounds good to me. Maybe I'm wrong with my big lazy nursers, but I'm pretty sure we were told on hospital to keep them awake to feed for 15 mins at least so if she's doing that on her own sounds on track. Yay for going home!
Up for our first feed just shy of 2 hours after falling asleep. Not awful. I'll take it. I was so excited he didn't wake me up right away I felt like it was a longer stretch actually.

LO never has really wanted to nurse for more than 10-15 mins. I was worried too because DS used to nurse for much longer. The nurses at the hospital weren't thrilled that lo wasn't nursing longer, but I did a weighted feed with my LC, and LO ate 2.5 ounces in about 10 minutes. She was doing exactly what she was supposed to do!
LO1 came into bed again. But I got her to go back to her room/bed. Guessing we'll have this continue this for a few more days to have her fully broken of this habit!!!

My super sleepy baby got up at 11:30, and 2:30 and only nursed about 10 minutes each time. Then got up at 4:30 and has been nursing over an hour. And DH leaves at 6:30 and I'll have both babes all day. I'm already counting down until nap time

LO was up to eat a little before 2:00 and he was wide awake after. He started getting fussy so I fed him again around 3:00 and he still wouldn't go to sleep. So I woke DH up to try and get him down so I could go to sleep. I woke up around 6:00 and they were on the couch. DH claims he didn't sleep. So I'm sure he'll be whining all day about how tired he is. 🙄

Yea, the nurses haven't been too concerned. Im just so used to DS who was literally attached to my boob like 24 hours a day. I'm hoping I can see the LC today and make sure the pain I'm having is just my nipples getting used to nursing again. The hospital pediatrician thought she might have a tongue tie. Boo!
11pm, 2:30am, and 6am feedings/overnight wakeups and one up, both up. Last night wasn't bad! I'd like to sleep before the 11pm or after the 6am, but before 11 is when MH and I catch up a bit and do baby bedtime (after toddler bedtime). The 6am wakeup lasts until 7-ish (now), M is not asleep, and I hear occasional toddler wails.
Why oh why won't baby boy sleep during the night? He is passed out now at 8am. My H got a taste of what my nights are like. I told him I wanted to sleep for 6 hours straight (didn't happen). We had a couple of times where they were both awake and crying so I was up a lot
