We will use condoms until I'm either done breastfeeding or on a more regular cycle. Then we'll probably just track my cycles (is that called natural family planning?). We may want more children. Although I'm trying not to even think about it right now. I'm still experiencing flashbacks to Thursday night
ETA: I was on the nuvaring before DS, but once I came off it to get pregnant I realized it had really affected my personality/moods. So I don't think it's for me.
Probably an IUD? I won't remember the pill. We didn't use anything between kids since we wanted them close together. We want a third eventually so won't do anything permanent until after that.
We decided on permanent birth control. Since I had a csection I had my tubes tied during the procedure. If I'd been able to go vaginally DH would have gotten clipped.
Right now we will be using condoms as I had a bad experience with the mini pill and I'm not really interested in an IUD. Once I'm done breastfeeding I'll probably go back on the pill.
Abstinence will play some part in it. I don't want to have sex at 6 weeks pp. I need to feel more fully healed and ready. I'm hoping BFing will hold off my cycles for a while after that, and then maybe we'll use condoms for a bit. We want more kids and it took us 2 years to get pregnant with this one, so I'm fine with NTNP fairly soon.
Just fyi, breastfeeding isn't fool proof for keeping your cycle away. Mine returned at 3.5 months postpartum after DS1 even though I was bfing on demand around the clock and pumping extra to donate. I'm glad we were using condoms because 2u1 was not my plan!

This is a tough one. I have had a pelvic floor disorder that makes sex painful and not fun at all. I went on the pill right before DH and I got married, but after discovering we weren't having sex, we went to condoms whenever we tried. DH has been super interested in me trying some different therapy after I heal. I am not exactly thrilled to do it, but feel it's totally unfair to not try. I'd always thought it'd be nice to have three kids, but after this pregnancy, don't ever ever ever want to be pregnant again. I am no help. Basically just defeated and confused. We'll probably stick with condoms, but I worry about them failing if we need to "practice" the new therapy. If we had a surprise baby, I would at least like to be enjoying myself when we made it!

Interesting fact for you ladies. When I researched our insurance coverage, I found out a tubal for me (even during my c section) would be additional surgery and cost us extra. HOWEVER MH's vasectomy is 100% covered despite it being an elective family planning procedure.

I was off hormones for a year while TTC this baby and I really enjoyed it so I'm thinking copper IUD this time around.
We're probably done having kids but I hold out the teeniest of hopes that we can have a third someday. I also think we're both too young for permanent birth control.
Also I've had the implant 3 times and generally like it. The first two times I never had a period and it was awesome. The last time I had a lot of random spotting so that was annoying.

It really pissed me off.
Uh, wut? Yeah, that's f'ed up. I'm going to need some bureaucrat to explain the justification for this. SaveSave

I know. I hope I'm one of the lucky ones. My periods are heavy and painful, and I don't miss them at all. The longer they take to return, the better.

I think the answer is insurance companies believe penises are obviously >>>>>> vaginas.

ETA I am obviously a bureaucrat.
It's a shame that insurance companies feel that way because I feel certain that a penis would literally explode and cease to exist trying to push out a baby.

I'm getting a mirena again. I really liked it last time. My periods were light if anything and it didn't affect my moods, libido, or milk supply. My sister is an obgyn and it's her go to for pretty much everyone except teenager early twenties girls, then she recommended the arm implant. Well, and people who had expulsion issues with iuds.
I think I'm going to get the Mirena this time. I have always had trouble taking the pill on time & the hormones really mess with me. We used the pull and pray in between DD and TTC number 2. Luckily it worked for us but I want something more effective since we're still not sure if we want more kids.
