LT for commiseration salmon2017. Sadly, it happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I snissed once while pregnant with DS, but I was already in the third trimester at the time. So not ready for this.
It didn't happen to me at all last pregnancy, but healing post partum took ages. DS was 15 months before I could jog without peeing. For anyone interested, my pelvic floor PT told me that most people are doing kegels wrong. Here is the routine that worked for me postpartum, and which I need to start again:
10 kegels, 5 times a day (I did in bed upon waking, driving to work, driving home from work, sitting on the couch in the evening, and in bed before sleep). Each set should take about 1-2 mins. Lift the pelvic floor (make sure not to engage glutes) hold for 5 seconds, slowly release. If you can't hold tight for 5 seconds at first, try 3. They need to be real seconds, not counting to 5 as fast as you can
Hope someone finds that useful!
5 bucks says I'm not the only one who tried this while reading the description of how to do it.

TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
I go for my NT scan today. Cross your fingers for me because I am bringing both kids solo.
I'm so excited to see LO though!
You are brave!! I have an ultrasound and appointment Monday so I am sending the kids to daycare and enjoying a day of peace. I'm sure I'll feel guilty about it Monday.
DS birthday is tomorrow with his party on Sat. We just do family, but that's 26 people. Half of those are kids....under the age of 11. It will be chaotic. So today, I'm decorating his cake. He really like Mario and wants a Bowser's castle on top of his cake. I'm so nervous that his cake will be a flop. Off I go!

Next week our W/TH/F sitter is going to be out of town. The original plan was to send him to our backup daycare lady for those days. He likes it there because he likes to play with the other kids so he goes back every couple months when our sitter is sick or needs a day off. I'm worried about switching up the routine with potty training though. He is doing so well & I don't want to mess with anything. It will be just about 2 weeks at that point. I could still send him and hope for the best. Or I could get our M/T sitter to do W/TH so that he's still in his normal routine. I would then have to take Friday off of work to stay home with him. Any thoughts? Am I just overthinking this or is it a good idea to keep routine as normal as possible for these first few weeks?
I have my appointment today. I'm not going to lie. I have been a wreck for a few days. I figured I would be showing at least a little by now and I started crying when my H was asking me about the baby. So he took me to the hospital where he works and grabbed the ultrasound machine from the ER and did a quick US. The baby was moving so much. Every time he tried to get a picture the baby would flip around. That's so typical of our babies. The HB was fluttering away too so now I can go to my appointment with confidence and no stress.
I guess this baby is just going to be smaller than my last 2. Or maybe I need to be eating more. My pants are getting looser and not tighter, which is why I was worried. Anyways, I will likely wake up one morning soon and look like I'm entering the third trimester. Lol, I just thought I would be bigger than this by now. I know I was with my last pregnancy.

@gotgingy, - I'm 15 weeks today and I am just now starting to feel a little more energy. Hopefully the sex drive comes back too (for my husbands sake).
caybeh, - I hope the cake goes well! Just make sure to to spell it "Bowser" if you put the name on the cake

DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
leviosa, so sorry you are stressed, but glad you got to see a healthy and active babe in there! I suppose (with no professional knowledge) that every pregnancy is just different. I am much larger this time than last time; it could be that you are just having the opposite situation.
One thing I have noticed for me is that my core muscles are much weaker this pregnancy than before, so everything is bulging out. If you were quite fit pre-pregnancy, maybe your core is staying strong for longer?

Okay, so you know that my PT story is not one of consistency. My thought is that, as with everything (sleeping, eating, etc) kids have disruptions to their routines, which can cause setbacks in whatever milestones you have reached. But usually once the routine is normal again, things settle out (ie. the skills are not forgotten). Perhaps the same could be said for potty training? My instinct would be to do whatever makes life the least stressful for you, even if that means you have to retrain a little afterwards.

salmon2017, I never really got around to strengthening my core. I was just mostly swimming and only doing a little weight lifting. I should try to do more core strengthening this next time. This pregnancy has been so different already so I guess I can just add this as one of those things.
saltandvinegar, I would just go over (possibly even type it out) his bathroom routine in detail with the backup sitter and just remind your LO that pee pee and poo poo go in the potty and not in our pants. There may be some accidents but that isn't the end of the world, it's just part of the process.

salmon2017, leviosa, - Thanks for the insight. Sometimes I think this PT thing is just as emotionally draining for me as it is for my LO. I just feel like he's doing so well & don't want to do anything to jeopardize that.

When I was PT my daughter I stressed so much over her possibly having accidents (especially in public). With L I plan to just be so much more relaxed. Accidents aren't the end of the world. Car seats can be washed, pee can be cleaned from the floor easily in a store or other place. Even my DD, who has been fully trained for over a year now has an occasional accident. It happens.

My pubic bone has been feeling a little weird the past few days. Now I know it's because my uterus just popped out! I guess this STM early popping out is true!

magaroni86 I would have totally done that if I could! Luckily there was a student us tech in the room that helped wrangle Hailey during my scan.
Everything looks good so far. I'll get the final NT results in a week or so. I do have a cyst on both ovaries now. I'm hoping my OB will take care of them during my CS. I DNW another surgery if I don't have to!

I've always struggled with taking our laundry basket up and down our split level stairs for a few different reasons (my size and lack of strength plus now the fucking baby gates at the top of the stairs with the stupid "doors" that are difficult to undo then hoist the full baskets over without falling down said stairs...). With the bump coming back into play, it is making things even more difficult and I'm tempted to just make DH carry the baskets for me. But then laundry might get done even less than it is right now. First world problems right here!
I can relate. Our old house was a split level and I hated taking laundry up and down the stairs. Now we live in a two story and laundry is upstairs. Laundry is actually somewhat pleasant now!
caybeh I'm not telling DH but laundry location might play a big part in why I nix houses from our lists! I just find other flaws I dislike too and say that's the reason instead.
Hey laundry location sounds like a valid thing to dislike in a house to me!

This is why I will not buy a two level house and have laundry in the basement. We had that at a townhouse before kids and it was a pain in the butt then.
Right now we have a ranch style home with laundry in the basement. Even though this involves going up and down stairs, I still like the idea that I can hide my messy laundry pile in the basement and I have lots of room to hang things to dry.
