MH told me that after we announced yesterday two girls from his high school that he never keeps up with, haven't talked in years, messaged congratulations and then asked if the twins were natural! Wtf is wrong with people?!?
He said he wanted to respond...yeah, I gave it to her doggy style, thats the key! Or something equally inappropriate in response.
WTF?? Why do people think it's ok to ask shit like that??
I received my breast pump yesterday (Spectra S1) and they sent extra parts and such and I am really skeptical that my insurance is going to pay for them all. I left everything in the packaging in case I have to send some or all of them back. I do want to plug it in to see how loud the pump is today.
What kind of extra parts? Maybe some are included in what's covered by insurance?
wannabmama - I don't understand anyone asking that question, much less people you are barely in contact with. Wow.
Yeah I get that people have curiosity with twins. Lots have asked if they run in our families or whatever...I just hate the insinuation that my IVF babies aren't natural...an egg met a sperm and they're growing in my uterus, sounds natural enough to me!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

People are so weird. My coworker asked me if the baby was planned. WTF does that matter lady?!
But she made up for it buy buying the baby a couple cute gifts. Lol

I had a coworker I'm not friends with and barely talk to ask me the same!! I was so shocked I answered, but I wish I had had some sort of witty-WTF response for her.

Right? I wasn't expecting it either so I just laughed it off. Someone here had a witty response. Something like, no the baby wasn't planned but we hope we'll grow to love him anyways. 😂
I'm late to work and yet I sit in my car in the parking lot. It was a rough night with the toddler. He's been fighting a cold this week. It could be that or 2 yr molars. Feeling a lot of mom guilt for not being able to stay home with him to cuddle.
Here's my sweet baby all of 3 months yet wearing 6 mo clothes already. And like his big brother probably not rocking any baby leggings with his chunky thighs. I'm putting those in my donate bag.

The box with the pump came with everything plus two extra flanges (I think they are identical but are there different sizes?) and then there were two separate boxes each containing all the parts except the pump (bottle, flange, backflow thing, tubes, etc.). So I have two sets of everything plus an extra set of flanges? Maybe the extra sets are different sizes from the ones included with the pump? I really couldn't tell.

Yes!!!! This is exactly how I feel about hat question. DH sperm and my eggs met. They may have grown in a Petri dish for a few days. Nature took over from there. I guess if they aren't "spontaneous" then they aren't "natural". I also don't think how our children were made is anyone business but ours. I don't go around asking people if they conceived their baby via missionary or doggy style.

My Spectra S2 came with the exact same amount of parts as you're describing.
All my red tops are prepregnancy and don't fit. It's very unfortunate. Also unfortunate is how hungry I am today and the fact that my snack stash in my desk is gone.
No bump here, but I will be bloated by lunch time. Have a baby picture instead.
I find the twin thing is annoying. Everyone in my family has asked my mom if it was "natural". Or someone said "I can't believe she is having twins" and a family member chimed in saying "oh but she did IVF". Assholes

Good to know, so maybe that is just the standard package. Do you know if any of the spare parts are of different sizes or whatever (I don't even really know what the sizes mean)?

My Medela came with all the parts plus extra flanges in a different size. Based on what mustloveerica posted, maybe Spectra is just nice and includes more than one set?

If Spectra is similar to Medela, the 2 sets of flanges may be different sizes. Depending on nipple size some moms need a flange other than the standard size.

I'm convinced people lose their filter when it comes to pregnancy. It's like any and all questions, no matter how inappropriate, are fair game. I have been asked if we planned the age gap between our kids (none of you business - I'm not going in to my 2IF story with you) and multiple comments about how hard it was for people to have small children when they were in their 20s/early 30s, they can only imagine having a newborn at 40. Why do people think that's ok?

I have an ob appt in 35 minutes and I need to pee now but if I do, I probably won't be able to again when I get to the appt. I'm seriously considering leaving for the ob office now so I can give my sample and just wait in the waiting room until my appt time. One good kick to the bladder from baby boy and I'm screwed if I have to wait 35 min!
LadyNymeria, maybe! I couldn't find any indications of what size the flanges were but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I have really crappy insurance but also other suppliers told me that my insurance doesn't cover S1 so I'm a bit skeptical anyway, but we'll see!

I have no idea. Mine came in like 3 different bags. Two bags had bottles included with the flanges, tubes, etc and one bag had what looks like just extra parts with no bottles. I didn't even open the extra parts bag. I'll look and see if the packing slip says anything about sizes when I get home.
