M's new thing is to test you when she's eating. After a couple of bites she hands you her food and says all done. She just wants any response that this is not ok. If you say ok and ignore it she takes it all back and goes back to eating. Toddlers are the worst.
DH and I are going on our first trip without DS in a couple of weeks. We'll be gone for 3 nights. My mom is going to be with DS, with my Dad helping out some (my parents are divorced). I did have a lot of anxiety about it to the point I didn't even want to go but now I'm starting to get excited. Do I need to do anything before we go like call the apes and tell them one of my parents could be bringing DS in if he got sick while we were gone?

smilesp, I would let daycare know that you will be gone and some one else will be responsible for your child. Also leave contact information for those people. So daycare is able to reach someone quickly. Also have a note saying that you give permission for your parents to provide medical treatment in case of an emergency. Also leave a copy of insurance information.

We were advised to have a document notarized giving my mom permission to make any and all medical decisions while we were traveling. We took it to our bank to be notarized.
Below is what we used...our attorney gave us the verbiage.
Medical Treatment Authorization
We the parents (R and J) of M, grant our authorization and consent for N to administer general first aid treatment for minor injuries or illnesses. If the injury or illness is severe, we authorize her to seek professional emergency personnel to attend, transport, and treat M and to issue consent for any medical care deemed advisable by a licensed medical professional or institution. We authorize N to exercise best judgment upon the advice of medical or emergency personnel. N is authorized to make any and all medical decisions regarding MM from July 29, 2014 through August 4, 2014. R may be reached at 7 and J may be reached at 7

Ugh, so we've been working with an architect for about 7 weeks now. He was recommended to us by our contractor because he's good with looking at the structural integrity of the existing house and is old school, blah blah blah.
So after 7 weeks of meeting 2x a week, he calls me and tells me that he thinks that we need to stop working on the project drawings and wants a letter of certification from a structural engineer to continue. That's fine, I get it. but shouldn't this have come up like 6 weeks ago. And also, I think the engineer is going to want to see drawings to know what the project is.
I'm annoyed and wish we would have gone with someone that uses technology instead of this "old school, pen and paper type."
I get the feeling that he assumed we'd love his first drawing (that missed a lot of what we want, like a closet in the master bedroom) and now doesn't want to deal with making the changes we want to see.
hotcoconuts82, I like the dress. You could do sandals or fun colored heels and like a blush cardigan or something. IDK I put cardigans over everything, haha.
smilesp we did a similar medical release form while we were out of the country. We didn't have it notarized, just signed by us and witnesses. We didn't let our pediatrician know either. It's going to be great, don't worry!

I probably will need a cardigan because April here is either hot or snowing.
I need to get M some more mega bloks. She only has a set of 20 or so right now but she currently loves them. She calls it "make". So like "Mirmirm make!" From DH asking her what she wants to make. It makes me laugh.

C is obsessed with his mega blocks too. He has the backpack set of 20ish blocks and a John Deer tractor toy that came with 10 or 15. I feel overwhelmed by just this volume of blocks. MIL got him not one but TWO towers of 100 blocks each for Christmas. They have not moved from my garage since being brought home. I'm too afraid of the mess and injuries it'd surely create.
Co-worker brings a customer to my office and proceeds to tell me what they need. Me: we don't need to print a new card. I can activate it on system. No problem. Cw: Are you sure? She doesn't have her pin. Me: Yes. I can activate on system and then reset her pin. Easy. Cw: Are you sure? (customer is right behind her this whole time.
Yes I am fucking sure! I've been doing this for three years and you have been doing it for three months! You still don't know how to do basic stuff. Do not question me in front of a customer!!!

Oh jeez! That is a fuck ton of blocks. I was thinking maybe another set of 20. Or one of the 50 ones tops. That is crazy.
27 weeks today. I can't believe it. My bff should be having her baby any day now.
New mommy's how is it going? What's life like with 2? Tell me it's all rainbows and unicorns!
Basically this, all day:
And a fair amount of this:
So I mostly feel like this:
But it's OK, because they're amazing little creatures that you love endlessly and you made them, so once in a while you'll just stop and think about that fact and feel like this:

I was horrified when I saw them and I originally thought only one of the towers was for him because Hs 4yo cousin was there too. In my head I was like "it's cool Obi, it's cool. We can put a bunch aside as outdoor toys. You got this." MIL helped load the car for us when we left and I didn't see that she gave us both until we opened the trunk in our driveway. Cue panic.
