Good morning! We have a pretty low key day planned. It snowed all weekend so the city is plowing today and I don't like getting stuck behind plows. H said she wanted to go exercise with me today so I was thinking about going to the gym but I'm not feeling it. I would rather wait and go to barre this evening after DH gets home. My calves are killing me so I need to stretch them out today too.

I'm in for it at work today. I manage summer school and registration opened first thing this morning. I've already fielded more phone calls in two hours than I did collectively the last two weeks and my email inbox is imploding. It's going to be a super fun week/next few months. I'm staying positive by reminding myself that the workday always flies by more quickly when I'm this busy, so I'll be home with my kiddos before I know it.
Happy Monday ladies! I just did spin class. My sense of pride kept me from dying or throwing up or walking out but omg I am dead now. But even more exciting, Lu didn't even fuss when I dropped her at childwatch She was playing happily when I picked her up an hour later too. Yay! Huge snowstorm coming tomorrow. 12-18inches or something annoying like that. I work tonight so I'm just hoping it holds off until I get home in the am...
When did my baby get so big? She always wants to sit on the couch which I allow but usually watch her like a hawk so she doesn't fall. I was sitting on one end and she was at the other. She indicated that she was thinking of getting down, laid down on her tummy, stuck her feet behind her and slid down to standing. What a smart cookie!

Ruby likes sitting on the couch too. I should teach her how to navigate getting down like that because right now, we just put the cushions on the ground in front so she can crawl up/down.
It's been a good Monday so far. Did BBM, went grocery shopping for the week, dropped H off at preschool, bought Ed Sheeran tickets, went on a run (starting C25K again, hoping to continue to the 10K distance), picked up H, got M & R down for naps, and now H is getting some screen time while I read for book club.

S isn't tall enough to get on our couch so we have to help her with that part. I don't want to assist the climbing up any sooner than it happens, lol.

G loves sitting on the couch too and we have been trying to teach her not to face dive off the couch. This past week it really stuck. But she looks too grown up when she gets down on her own

Super chill day here because g has been super sick and is cutting four top teeth. I can't imagine what she will look like with more than just 2 bottom teeth

DD has been doing that, too!
On a similar vein, DH has been working on teaching her how to go down the stairs on her belly. She does surprisingly well. We will always close the gate, but figured it's better safe than sorry that she knows how they work if she should every find herself in the situation.

My kid is sick AGAIN. She was out of daycare two days last week with pink eye (which she gave me, of course) and now is on day 3 of a fever. I'm debating on when to take her to the pedi - I don't want to unnecessarily medicate her, but I want her to feel better (and I want to get a few days of consecutive work done!).

While I'm on a roll of posting
DDs top tooth has been in for a few weeks but has really grown the last couple of days. She looks so different! With just bottom teeth she looked like a baby, but now she looks like a kid. Her second top one is coming in now, so I'm sure it will be even weirder once they're both visible when she smiles.

R has no interest in sitting on our couch. She has never tried to climb up on it. And I sure would have no idea how to get off of it. She actually just climbed up stairs for the first time last week. I think most of your babies have been climbing up stairs for months, but she never cared to even try until a few days ago.

Poor girl. Is she having any other symptoms besides the fever? Usually after 3 days with no improvement I'd take her to the pedi.
After DH got home and we are supper I went to take a nap. I have a massive headache still after sleeping for an hour and a half. I'm guessing it's because I didn't have any caffeine today. I'm trying to cut back on soda but obviously cold turkey isn't the right way to do it.

S never really ever has access to stairs. Our house is a ranch and with the unfinished basement we never go down there. Yesterday I wanted to see how she would do, she climbed those stairs like she'd done it a hundred times.

Not really - as long as she's medicated (motion or tylenol) she's in a decent mood. Maybe slightly less appetite than norma.
She has a bit of a runny/stuffy nose, but she's had that since December. If she's still running a fever tomorrow I'll take her in and make sure her ears are clear.

Mine both LOVE being up on the couch. The challenge is keeping DS from climbing up the back of it.
Our couch is too tall for them to get on the front so DS helps himself by way of the side table with one foot on the elevated dining room floor. He's taken a couple tumbles but is definitely capable of getting down on his own, so is DD2.
