I'm so sorry it took so long for an update, but I am totally wiped out. As in I can't keep my eyes open, so I hope this small update works for y'all. .
Is.la Kimber.ly born 9:16 am 6lbs 1oz (left pics) Ce.celia (Celia) Caro.line born 9:18 am 6lbs (right pics)
Charlotte, her Grammy and I'm not sure which twin lol (I was still in recovery).
C-section recovery and twins are totally kicking my ass. It's taken 3 days to get these words together to share and both girls are serious boobie babies 😳 Thank you all so much for your thoughts and encouragement. Newborn snuggles for you all!!!

As you have already figured out, the beginning is HARD. For me the first two weeks were much more challenging than I had ever imagined. But it gets steadily better each week and I am here on the other side to say it was all worth it! So hang in there, focus on getting through an hour at a time, and make sure to be gentle with yourself. And accept any and all help!
Also if you are still in the hospital, insurance should cover an extra day since you had a c-section, but you might have to request it if they clear you medically. I found the extra day of healing very valuable.

LydiaDeetz, they are beautiful and I adore their names!!! Hang in there, mama. The beginning is ROUGH. This board was also immensely helpful, so feel free to vent, complain or ask any questions.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
Congratulations! They are absolutely beautiful, and I LOVE their names. And Charlotte's expression is priceless- "uh, why is that baby in Grammys lap?"
UO in the realm of new motherhood, but if you can bear it, see if you can send them to the nursery for even a few hours so you can get some sleep. Even 2 hours uninterrupted will be so helpful, remember that you're recovering from a major surgery!
Thank you all so much! I did take advantage of a 3 hour nursery nap schmella, and I made so glad I did.
fightersince83, I know DH wasn't a fan of the name Isla when I first suggested it, but he really fought me to keep it when I was having doubts. I think it suits her perfectly.
Well, we were discharged today and I was tasked with maintaining Celia's weight since she lost 9% in the hospital. I'm glad to be home and doing things MY way and I'm hoping our ped says she's doing just fine and will see the improvement made at tomorrow's appointment. It definitely hasn't been easy so far, but I don't see how it could be any other way. Any insecurities and sadness I felt while being pregnant with twins has been replaced with a love and need for both of them.
