If it isn't back on tonight Z and I may have to stay with friends and I'll leave DH here with the dog.

About the fridge and freezer... can you put stuff outside? Not sure if it'd be safe from critters or if it's cold enough.

If you don't open your freezer dancerspose your food and milk will stay frozen for quite awhile, especially if the freezer is full.

Yikes to those with no power. We had a hurricane force windstorm here last week and people were out of power for days. We didn't effected, though. We saw probably the tiny edge of the north east storm... just enough snow to make the middle schoolers go "aww, do I really have to wear a coat?" and that's about it.

nomnom shellbell luckily we have a freezer chest in our garage. That's where I've been stockpiling my milk. I just moved what was still in the fridge (along with some other food) out there. I don't plan on opening it again, and it is pretty full, and it is cold in our garage. So hopefully with that combo we should be ok. I'm crossing my fingers it's miraculously back on soon, but it's not looking too good.

They stopped giving us estimates around 10am this morning. We were all set to go stay with a friend and I just called and they lost power at 1. Dammit!!! Now the search is on to find someone who does have power. One of my other friends without power is getting me coffee at Wawa right now. I love her like major whoa.

That storm was awful. We were legit snowed in for 4 days. Lester Holt reported live from the end of my street.

That storm will haunt us forever. I was pregnant with DS1 at the time and I'm pretty sure I ate everything in my house. On day 3 we had to be evacuated from our house because our ceiling was cracking/bowing.

When I put in our info on the app, it says "crews on site". It has been saying that since 9am so it's either a big issue or they are full of it.

We found a place to stay for the night and will be heading over there shortly. DH doesn't see what the rush is to get over there, my boobs need some release, it's been since the MOTN since I last pumped!

Oh my goodness crazycatlady6 I understand your urgency! Glad you have somewhere to go. I've been pumping using the battery pack after DH had to make an emergency run for batteries. We've also now got our generator hooked up to the freezer. I'm strongly considering prioritizing the tv next...

It was in the 60's today so I picked up our neighbor and her grandson and we went to playgroup and picked up lunch to take to the park. It was nice to have an extra set of hands with DD1.

My kid threw an epic tantrum about the color of her snowpants. We finally got outside to sled and make a snowman. She had a blast! I bundled me and C and wore him in the mei tei wrap. He loved it! Well, he slept anyway LOL

Our snow turned to rain and then stopped. There's heavy wet mush to shovel. I'm not pregnant anymore but I'm still hoping to use S as an excuse not to shovel. We'll see how that goes LOL.

We just gave S another bath. This baby loves the water. The only part of bath time that's a struggle is getting her clothes back on.

Our power just came back on now. Been off about 3 hours. I'm so happy because I could feel the house cooling down pretty quickly; and of course, we didn't really prepare.

I also only had 9% phone battery left which was stressing me out! FWP.

If you think the freezer is getting warm put some snow in zip lining l bags and throw in on top to keep cold.

Anyone else cold all the time? During this ph I was sweating when the house was 65 and now I put the house to 70 and I'm freezing! Our power bill sucks with me st home all day with the temp up high.

notagoddess it's so nice your lo loves the water! I gave baby a bath this evening and I have never heard anything or anyone screech like that! She calmed down after a few minutes at least.

flyinghorses6 sympathies. DD1 was the loudest sleeper. We only made it to 4 months before we had to put her in her own room AND I kept her baby monitor on low volume so we could sleep.
