So I went to the MFM on Tuesday and he didn't think my BP was that bad so he's not having me start meds at this time. He just wants me to continue monitoring at home.

Also, i posted this on CAR and PAIF but I'll post here in case anyone has ideas. This morning I woke up with these weird brownish stains on my right hand. No idea what the hell it is but it does not wash off. Also doesn't itch or hurt, just looks bad. What the hell is it? Pics behind spoiler if you're interested.

cali I know there's a thing called cholasma but I think that's generally on your face?

@kristyw13, hmmm...according to Google it can occur anywhere on the body but it's most common on your face and neck and pretty rare anywhere else. Weird. I'm really glad this isn't on my face but I wish I knew with it was!!!

How far along are you? 18+1

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Okay! I actually took out my belly button ring, which might sound dumb, but was a big step for me. I didn't take it out last time because I didn't think the baby was going to live, so I'm trying really hard to be positive now. I keep getting waves of excitement and two more people at work know, but I get terrified that every time I tell someone I'm jinxing myself. So then I have little panic meltdowns. And then the cycle starts over again.

I'm still nauseous every day if I go too long between eating and I've thrown up like once a day the last few days. I am not pleased. Go away!!

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? No ;( nothing til 3/30.

Anything else you'd like to share? My DH matched for residency at his top choice program so we don't have to move cities! Woo!! Now we can officially proceed with our condo offer

QoTW: What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been? Oh, geez. So I LOVE the Pacific Northwest, up by Vancouver with all the tall trees or the Muir Woods by SF. But also, the Thailand islands like Phi Phi island and the surrounding islands are so gorgeous - taking the ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi was just breathtaking. But really so was the SW - Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon. I can't decide!

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?
Emotionally I'm better then I've been before. Trying to stay positive and now that I am no longer constantly consumed by anxiety (or are ignoring the fact I'm pregnant) I try to find joy in this pregnancy. Physically I've simply been feeling beyond ex-haus-ted lately. I never really had that 2nd trim boost of energy but did feel a bit more energetic in wk 15-16 but it's gone downhill fast since again. Had a really had time at work on Friday to stay with focus (made some silly, luckily not important, mistakes too) and not sink through my hooves. I've had moments last week where I've been so tired all I could do was cry (luckily at home, not at work). It sucks, and I don't know how to fix it.

My supervisor suggested I take vacation time to work less hours, but I simply don't have enough hours to do so till my leave and have enough hours left after maternity leave to stay home 1d/w for the first months (which I really want to, and need to in lieu of childcare). I've been skipping all social functions etc lately, houschores are either being done by MH (bless him) or don't get done. I can't do even less! We have a packed afternoon today with a friends daughters birthday then on to other friends to help them with their taxes and have dinner together, and for the past days I've simply been dreading today cause there's no time to rest and then there's a full week of work ahead again tomorrow. Not going isn't really an option either, as skipping all social parts of my life (pretty much since the first weeks of pregnancy already) and just going to work and resting at home alone is making me feel slightly depressed. MH suggested (or rather, he's quite adamant about it) I go talk to the company doctor and see what options there are, but I find that a very difficult step. I've only started working here in December..

Nope not until the 27th for our anatomy scan and and OB/MFM appointment.

Do you need any thoughts or prayers?
No thanks. I could use a big can of energy though.. if anyone has one laying around ;-)

Anything else you'd like to share?
I thought I felt some movement yesterday evening but then wasn't sure but I think it really may have been as it was a feeling a totally didn't recognize. So when I went to bed I laid there with my hands on my belly for a good while in hopes to feel it again but nope haha.

That's such a difficult one to answer! I feel that every country has their own beautiful places.. I love how divers my own country is, we have pastures and the sea with beaches and dykes in the west but also woodland in the center of the country, there's the little islands up north in de Waddenzee, and some hills down south. But I also love the Swiss mountains, or the English countryside and Wales, and Cape Cod, and and and. Feels like picking just one 'most beautiful' place is unfair to all the other places hehe.

cali, the first thing that came to mind was melasma/cholasma as well. I know tis usually present on the face but I read it can also be all over the body. Funny that you mention this btw as just a few days ago I was showing MH my hands as a lot of lightbrown specks popped up recently on the back of my hands. Unlike on your hands it's just specks though, not very large at all more like freckles. I figured it was just hormones.. Maybe your OB can tell you more?

addymac, so sorry to read you're still so nauseous and even throwing up regularly still. Have you ever considered taking something for it? I took ema.sefene (no clue what it'd be called in the US) starting wk 9 till around wk 13 and it made all the difference. These past weeks I've felt nauseous occasionally in the evenings and in the mornings my stomach is very queasy, I fend off the nausea by eating just some toast drinking a bottle of Aquarius throughout the morning and oddly enough it really helps me.
Also, I feel you on still feeling like jinxing myself whenever I tell someone new, or do something that would be considered as prep or such. It is less so then before but still present ugh, hate it. Go you for taking out your belly button ring!

Anything else you'd like to share? Our A/S was Friday, all looked good. I have placenta previa, hopefully it corrects. I love my OB. I asked if it was OK to lay on my back during a dentist visit and he said are you crazy?!?! At least ask me a good question like can you get xrays. And yes you can get 300,000 xrays. He always helps my anxiety. I had some strong cramps the other day and was nervous but he said it's dehydration which will start to cause the uterus to spasm so I need to up my fluids. I also mentioned I was concerned I'm not showing enough but he said not to compare and I'm fine.

Emotionally, just wanting to get through the next couple weeks and get past our 20 week milestone. Physically, pretty good. I have more energy but I also get fatigued a lot easier and spent a lot of time napping this weekend.

Appointment on Tuesday for my first p17 shot

Best guess right now is that we are team pink and blue. Waiting for our next scan to confirm the call of boy on A since he was not being very cooperative and the cord kept getting in the way.

I bought my first thing for the baby. I've been wanting an Ergo carrier and they had them 50% on zulilly so I bought one. It's the only thing we've bought so far. We've got to get to a store and at least get a crib and car seat if nothing else.

How far along are you? 17w 4d

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? So hungry lately. I feel like this is when I'm really going to start putting on weight. I gained 70 lbs with DS (!!) And really trying to avoid that this time especially since I started out heavier and I've heard it's even harder to lose the second time around. I'm okay-ish emotionally, but over-analyzing fetal movement. I think I'll feel better after the anatomy scan if all goes well. My ob doesn't do the NT scan if you do NIPT, so I haven't had a detailed scan since 9 weeks, and it makes me nervous.

Hi Ladies, sorry to have been MIA, although trying to LT along the way, work has been nuts and I was in Asia last week.

How far along are you? 17+0

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Physically jet lag is killing me, where is this 2nd tri boost of energy??? LOL Oh and heartburn is a lovely addition Emotionally, I have gone back to being a psycho, as soon as I had the blood draw for the quad screen... panic set right back in. I opted to schedule my A/S for 18+3 to help alleviate some of the stress there. A major week of regression for me. I'm furious for MH telling anyone else before 20 weeks and probably just need to do some deep breathing exercises.

Feelings/appointments/ things to share- Having a Doppler at home is really really good for my mental health. Every couple of days I think to myself I know I just heard the heartbeat but what if it's gone? Doppler check anxiety gone in minutes ( for a few days ). I can't sleep anatomy scan tomorrow was exited then became I don't think I felt any movement today what if I go to the AS and the baby died? Panic mode starts to set in. Doppler check! My baby is annoyed with the Doppler, unless they all hate being poked at ? I felt the baby move, I really don't think I would have recognized that feeling as movement if I wasn't checking. I was right!! I lost the heartbeat and followed it to were I felt the baby go. It was so cool to be so sure that was movement. I feel movement so inconsistently and still don't know when it's happening 100% of the time.

How far along are you? 18 weeks!

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Physically sore at times and nauseous. I've been having some lower abdominal cramping, and I think I might not be drinking enough water. I'm annoyed by the nausea because sometimes I get it just from drinking water, and I'm so hungry all the time! Lol
