Ugh my episiotomy is hurting a lot more the last two days. It appears more swollen too. I'm 5 weeks out and I have my follow up appointment at the end of the week, and I was supposed to be healed by then. I'm worried the incision got infected instead. I can't decide if this is a wait and see type situation or if I should give my OB a call during the weekend.

Sorry you are still in pain notagoddess! At 6 1/2 weeks out mine only hurts after washing in the shower or if I stretch too far. Hopefully it's not an infection! If you have fever you should definitely call.
Traveling with 4u2 is hard and the babies' good sleep went to hell. I got about 5 hours each night. I hope they get back to longer stints now that we're home.

I feel like you should get a reward for surviving travel with 4 under 2! Yikes!
I sometimes still get extremely jealous of H's habit/ability to just take a shower or nap whenever he wants without consulting anyone. I'm clearly the default parent. It stinks sometimes.
Right? I have recently started asking before going to the bathroom! Not like asking for permission, but confirming that he's got this and is paying attention to the kids. I'm going to just start walking out of the room and showering or whatever. What could happen...

Sometimes DH will say things like he's fishing for praise after doing basic parenting. Makes me crazy. He's a great dad but I shouldn't need to pat him on the head for every diaper change. Where's my GD medal then?

We just got 3.75 hours, which is the most consecutive sleep I've gotten since she was a newborn and did a few 4 hour stretches. Yay! I'd love if this continued and kept getting better. Trying to stay awake so I can change her diaper. She didn't poop much yesterday so I figure I might have a lot of poop to clean up.
Well had O gone to sleep when G did we would have gotten 3 hours of sleep but she did t so I only got maybe 2. Scared because that's always their long/good stretch.

E was fussy pretty much all day yesterday. I think it was severe gas. Poor little thing was definitely feeling pain...she was shrieking.
She did settle down at night and we got 4.5 ish hours out of the first stretch. It's not 6, but after the day of gas she had, I'll take it. Here's hoping that the next stretch will be a solid one. 🤞🏻.
It's dh's morning to sleep in, so I thought the best thing would be to bring the baby downstairs after I fed her at 5am. She could sleep in the pnp, and I would sleep on the couch. She slept...but I did not. So I've been up since 4:45. 👍🏼
My SIL is coming to visit today. First time meeting R, and hasn't seen K since Christmas. I'm happy to see her even though she's coming at nap time. Oh well, no nap for K today (or me). After she leaves I'm heading to the gym so DH is on child duty.
I just finished grocery shopping solo and am currently getting coffee. DH wanted to know if I wanted him and DS to come along. Small grocery store on a Sunday morning with a fussy newborn...nope!

I went out and got a coffee this morning. A big one. It was glorious.
I'm going to make caldo verde today for us and our neighbors. His dad is in the hospital, so the family could use a little love. Caldo verde is a Portuguese kale soup I grew up with. It's good for the soul. I hope they like it.

DH has a man cold so this morning I'm going out to get more Tylenol and kleenex...and girl guide cookies, and a new baby gate/play yard, and probably a muffin, and a hot chocolate. Probably will just stay out of the house all morning until he texts me to say DS is hungry. I need to be away from all the whining for a bit. And a break from the kids will be nice too 😉
My SIL is almost an hour late. Honestly I find it so rude to be so late and not even send a text message. So now my kid isn't going to nap and you're going to visit for all of 10 minutes. (She had a flight leaving shortly). So considerate of her...
