Sleep was barely had by all last night. DS was teething, H was out late with friends, Clara peed through her sleeper...I'm really hoping for a nap during DS' naptime today. But I also want a shower. We shall see how the day plays out.
My mom is coming over today. I'm hoping she will help me get my laundry done and possibly sort through my post partum clothes and get things out that are weather appropriate. And put away my maternity clothes.
We are in a weird place where size 1 diapers seem to be too big, and newborn diapers are leaking poop up the back. I should just put her in cloth, I guess. I kind of wanted to wait until I was more caught up on the laundry front!

I've been MIA this week, it's been a rough one! A has been having constipation issues for about a week, we have been to the pedi twice and have tried everything under the sun to get the girl to poop. She was miserable. I was worried that she had an obstruction so I was extra stressed. Finally, yesterday the pedi started her on lactulose and she has been so much happier already. She had a decent poop yesterday and my happy girl is back! We also switched formula for both girls and the change in them is amazing. They are way less gassy and fussy. E's colic has eased up a little, im hoping that it goes away at the 8 week mark instead of the 12 week mark! Both girls have also been started on probiotic drops once a day in lieu of gas drops and that has been helping so much too! It's like I have new babies! They also had their first 5 hour stretch last night so I'm hoping that keeps up! We have a babysitter tonight so we are going to see Beauty and the Beast and go out to dinner, I'm super excited about a date night!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
I've been MIA too because Bs seep has been so bad lately. We finally put him on Zantac yesterday and he went 6.5hrs last night followed by another 4hrs stretch. Please lord be the answer!
It's DDs birthday party tomorrow. I can't believe she's going to be 3. Where does the time go!?

L went on Zantac yesterday too and last night was amazing. FX we both get a break now!
Afm, L peed on H last night. And all over the rug in her room. I need to figure out the best way to clean it now... H learned his lesson about having another diaper ready to go. First she peed on the changing pad and when he picked her up to move the soaking cover she nailed his shirt, pants, and shoes. I laughed my ass off too. It was hysterical!
staz- Bahahaha!! Sometimes hubs have to learn the hard way. I love Spot Shot for carpet stains. I actually used last night because LO1 had another accident on out living room rug. Also used earlier in the week when she colored our carpet on the stairs.
LO1 woke us once to go pee but when we were feeding babes at 4am she came in because she'd perd her bed again. We are starting to wonder if she has a UTI. I only second guess that because she only has accidents at home not at daycare. 2 yesterday....
About 4hrs till DHs family comes and oh lord you think the bloody pope was coming. The man was out with LO1 all day at the children's museum yesterday and now woke up a maniac. We have to have the house pristine for his family. Well buddy....with a 3.5 year old and 8 week old twins that is not gonna happen. But he's gonna run around all morning pissy and crabby trying anyways.
Edit- he wanted to shower and took 30 minutes! Major hate since the last 3 weeks I've been showering with LO1. So zero relaxation.

DS1 still has a fever. Trying to keep the kids separated just got harder since it is thunder storming all day and we are all stuck inside. He seems to feel better though.

shawnabm1320 we are in a weird place with diapers too, I went for bigger and just tried to cinch them tight and make sure the leg ruffles are out. He still managed to poop through two outfits yesterday and they weren't even that big of poos
mrsbaldwin2012, glad the formula change is helping and yay for date night!

mrsbaldwin2012 we are doing the same tonight! I hope you guys enjoy the movie musicallyinclined we use nature's miracle also, but I didn't know you could get it unscented! The smell of it now has such an unpleasant association it's almost as bad as dog poo in my mind. (We used it while house training our puppy several years ago) luckily haven't needed it recently. In-laws are flying in this evening. The visit should be okay. They are going to watch the girls while we go out. The house is untidy, though and MIL is usually critical and not helpful. We'll see. We got some good sleep last night, so it's time to get busy cleaning!

DS had the worst reflux episode ever last night. He almost never has them but I actually was watching him wondering if it was a breathing issue or sleep apnea at first because he would startle and gasp so badly then scream. I felt awful. Then after watching him a couple times I could see he was breathing fine right before (ya, I spent half my night watching breaths waiting for him to wake up); but I could actually hear the gurgling and fizzing in his throat. Poor beasty.
We tried every angle in the PnP we could get, tried him on us, in the swing. Nothing. DH slept on the couch and I slept with him in the bed since it seemed all I could do was be there to comfort him after the fact rather than avoid it altogether. I'm so tired.
@jacks605 We've had many an argument over him always getting a quiet shower vs. me waiting until LO takes a nap & the toddler staring at me through the shower door while licking it. Wtf. Men just have no idea.
littleredfish Sorry for the rough night Hope the reflux subsides soon.
LO gave us another 6.5 hour stretch for the like 6th night in a row . I'm scared to say out loud that I think he may be a good sleeper. DD went with MIL today and I scrubbed the house this morning while LO napped. DH is getting the garden tilled today so we'll go get some veggies to plant this afternoon. We're going to pick up some baby chicks while we're there. DH made and awesome chicken coop & im excited to have fresh eggs! Also excited for DD to be able to help with the chicks.

pivot jealous of your chickens!! I was going to get some at our last house but our new place doesn't allow for chickens within the city limits. Boo. We need to move somewhere that I can live in the country, where I belong. Sadly most military towns the base takes up the good real estate or it's so isolated you don't have basic amenities. A full on hobby farm is my dream.
Been MIA a bit over here too. Sorry for everyone who had a rough night. It's still cold and yucky over here, so just another day inside. Not the greatest night last night, gas seems to be the culprit each time.

Sorry for all the bad nights. R has given me 2 good nights in a row. Where he goes 4 hours between feedings. But the days have been bad. He's is very rarely awake and content, and the short amount of time he is content he needs to be held. And his naps are very short and needs to be held. I'm really getting frustrated.
DH got home from golf later than expected this morning and then had made plans to take C ice skating. The small window he was home, I had to feed R. So given R's sucky mood, no excercise for me. I might try and take R for a walk now. But I really want to do my excercise video and really, really hate waiting until the afternoon to do it. I'm in a very pissy mood. I really need more wine than breastfeeding allows. 😜

Sorry for whining about my #firstworldproblems. I really need to be more flexible with my schedule, which is not easy for me.

@monicagellar - I have the same problem with being flexible with the schedule and not trying to conquer the world while he naps. I'm having a difficult time finding balance.
littleredfish That stinks DH and I have always lived in the country on a farm or on a fair amount of land. I don't know if I could ever convert to living in the city!!

Im jealous of your chickens too, pivot! I want them so badly, but the money for the chicken coup seems to always be needed elsewhere
My baby is in 3-month clothes today 😳 After all the talk about how she was losing weight in the womb and her 1/2 pound weight loss after she was born, I'm glad she is gaining, but man - she is growing up so fast!

Showering is my favorite 10 minutes of the day sometimes. DH loves to come into the bathroom and chat me up or try to get in and I keep telling him it's pretty much my only chance to not be touched or talked to during the day. The other day the toddler came in to interrogate me about my lack of a penis and the DH came back with a screaming baby and I just had to laugh.

I sometimes still get extremely jealous of H's habit/ability to just take a shower or nap whenever he wants without consulting anyone. I'm clearly the default parent. It stinks sometimes.
