It is my weekend to work. Started my work week on Wednesday, and what a shitty day for my community! Last night we had a scheduled down time for part of our imaging storage. I really dislike downtime. Hopefully it will be completed by the time my shift starts today.
Well got to run R is yelling mommy come 'ere, and pounding on the wall

Good morning! Breakfast at IHOP with this cutie
Then we are heading to the mall. MH wants to get a haircut. Then we may get new phones and I need hand soap for my downstairs bathroom. This evening my little brother will be with us for a few hours so my dad and stepmom can go to a concert.
So I am at one of the largest passport offices that doesn't require an appointment. The first person in line was here at 4am (I asked) but I showed up about 7am....the passport office doesn't open until 9.....I am hoping and praying we can get in. Apparently they only have a certaiana number of people they issue numbers to and then everyone else has to try again another day....
I really meant to get here earlier....but sleep....
We've been in sick city over here and last night S FINALLY slept in his crib again. So this morning the bed felt extra comfortable.
S has been sick for almost a week. Turns our he had some kind of upper respiratory virus. We got him checked out again yesterday by the Pediatrician and she said he sounds much better and that he is no longer contagious. We just need to continue giving him albuterol breathing treatments. And he also started having bloody discharge from his right ear but he has tubes amd Dr just prescribed ear drops.
BUT when he coughs it sounds nasty bc he still has phlegm and his nose is constantly full with thick boogies.
We have a birthday party today, one of my good friends kids. Face painting, bouncy house, taco stand....
My H says we should skip it....doesn't want other parents to worry about their kid getting sick. And I know he is right, it's just that I was really looking forward to catching up with so many of my girl friends and Santi going to a fun birthday. And he deserves some fun after the week he has had.
But I think my husband is right....just need other Mammas to tell me so...

Honestly, unless you think he's caught something else I'd probably take him and just explain he's getting over something bad he had a while ago. But you know your kid and your community. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see that at a party here. Most of us are pretty lax about bringing our kids as soon as they're likely not contagious.
So I'm psychic! I have a good friend I last saw in Dec and she said she and her H were TTC then. Yesterday I started thinking of her a whole bunch and had the urge to text her so bad. So I sent her a message and it turns out yesterday was her first BFP!
Woke up to H leaving to fish in the backyard so W and I went to target to get diapers and a few other things, and of course coffee.
My BFF is in town from Pittsburgh so we're going to our favorite hot dog and ice cream place near the beach for dinner then coming to our house to hang out. I'm excited for a cardinal dog and laughs with the girls!
I just discovered our screened in porch has a couple of big holes in the screens. Bummer. We're going to go to Home Depot tomorrow to get some repair kits and get it fixed up quickly before the mosquitos start showing up.
We went for a drive yesterday with h's parents. I tested the rear seat and decided I can handle sitting there when needed. We also had lunch with h's sister and bil.
It's now Sunday morning and h is about to cook bacon and eggs for breakfast.
Awww McBgg21. Yeah, luckily they're tough at this age. M did a similar thing a few months ago. Scared her but no permanent damage. It happens, no matter where you are or what you're doing.
I'm probably crazy. I turned down a kid-free few day trip to Paris next month. It would mean missing work, leaving M with my MIL (who I love and completely trust but hasn't seen her since Dec so tons of prep work to leave her and being worried if M would feel comfortable), spending the money on flights/hotel, going the week after my parents were just in town so all that disruption to M, flying home and trying to get unjetlagged and unpacked and back into the swing of things and parent without DH (and jet lag gives me terrible anxiety). We're going to CA less than a month later and I have to miss work for that. It's just not a good time and I already feel less stress since I said no but a tiny part of me does think I've lost my mind.
Took A to the car wash for the first time today. He did well and was not afraid like I thought he might be. I felt like a huge idiot though. The car wash is one that you're in a line of cars that moves on a track and you have to put your car in neutral and don't touch the steering wheel. Well, it was my first time there and they have signs/screens with instructions posted, but they also have two guys there spraying your car and telling you to move forward or stop at the beginning of the wash. I couldn't read the signs because I was paying attention to the guy on my left telling me to keep moving forward and I was watching that I wouldn't hit the car in front of me. If you hit your brakes, the whole line shuts down and they have to start it up again. Well, both guys were yelling at me telling me not to hit my brakes, and then the guy on my right puts his face up to my window and yells "neutral! Neutral!" I felt so dumb.
Ugh. I am so congested with this cold that won't quit. It's been a week now. DH has it too and is moaning and complaining about how bad he feels. Suck it up dude. I solo parented all week this way. You can get dressed and go to Target with us.

Debating if I should go to a pancake breakfast out by my grandma's church. I think I will message my MIL and see if she can meet me at work to pick up R before my shift starts.

I just put G in her crib for a nap. She hasn't had a paci since Wednesday. The first day = no nap. Second day = 45 minute nap because we had be somewhere and she took an hour and a half to fall asleep. Yesterday she napped for more than an hour. I am hoping for the same today.
