We got a new crib last month that was too complicated to raise up and lower so i left it at the lowest setting. Baby is not standing yet but he is sitting up.
Apparently he pulled his dirty clothes out of his hamper into his crib one night.. Now nothing is within arms radius of his crib.
I'm doing okay. As okay as one can reasonably expect. I'm starting to get into "actually okay" territory instead of this emotional wasteland, but I think it's still a little bit away.
We nicknamed the triplets on Monday and that's been a big step in the right direction for me. It was really hard to not know how to refer to them. I'm also working on writing out my story/experience, so hopefully I can finish that up soon.
Loss aside, I don't have much to look forward to this year, unfortunately. :( We have to choose between treatment and basically everything else I want to do (like visiting friends or family/going on vacation), so unless I get really crafty with my squirrelling or we win some money, that's been kind of a downer. I've half-decided that I want to get into better shape/eat better, but as with all things I half-decide, I'm not holding my breath. I think it would help with some of the physical aspects of life, though. So maybe? I just wish I could hit that magical "aha!" moment already and get my ass in gear. ;)
Reading books. The Productivity Project is amazing but makes me feel guilty about any phone time.
Attempting to dig my house out of a mess created by 5 years of over scheduling and medical issues while parenting. Sadly DH won't let me KonMari the toys.
Parenting. 5 year olds can be rough, yo. I vastly prefer the drama of the 2s to the headache of increasingly adept lying attempts. Not sleeping because "fully" sleep trained DD3 wakes up randomly at night for reasons unclear and is incredibly hard to resettle.
Working.
The kids are good. They take turns being challenging. They take turns being sweet. They amaze me every day. DD3 is probably miles behind the rest of your kid said in gross motor milestones, as my kids typically are, but she will get there. She also hates most foods. Silly baby.
Another evening of "let me just chomp on your nips even in my sleep" won't take the bottle or the binkie and the second I pull my boob away he freaks out.
E figured out how to clap! He clapped this morning, and the teachers at daycare said he clapped all day! Then he clapped in the car, as he was eating dinner, in the bathtub, and even when I put him in the crib. It's so so cute
Also, I'm not even sure it's biting. I guess it is. It's like gnawing pulling chomping nom nom nom. Not a hard clamp down bite. He'll be asleep and still keep doing it.
Rama I'm glad that you're trending in the right direction. I really love fitness and healthy meal planning and stuff so if you're interested in chatting, pm me.
I am doing an ironman in just over 2 weeks. I'm feeling more than a little stressed about it. I think I finally am giving notice at work tomorrow. The two are unrelated but the long training for IM has given me ample time to think about priorities and I'm super pumped for this next stage of SAHMing!!!!

Ps Rama do you mind sharing their names? If not I understand. Either way, please know I think of you often. I wish there was something I could do to help.

I would love to. :)
Twinkle was the third sac that had already stopped developing by our first ultrasound.
Diamond was the twin we lost between our ultrasounds.
Little Star was the twin we lost latest, just under a week before my first OB appointment/second ultrasound.
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star is their song/nursery rhyme.

Rama, I don't know where I was but I missed the sad news. I am so, so, terribly sorry for you losses.
steph, I read that instead of trying to pull them away when they bite, to press their face into your boob. It'll block their nose and they will let right go to breathe. I've had a few times where I thought he was going to rip them off it hurt so bad and this seemed to help.

We had to lower the crib. Please lower your cribs everyone. Baby girl stood and tumbled out last week. She was fine but it was scary for all of us.
Oh coffeequeen14, I'm so sorry that happened and I'm glad that she's fine. My heart rate increased just reading this. And thank you for sharing. I just told H that we need to lower our crib this weekend.

M is clapping too, it is the cutest!!!
Here too She's started clasping her hands after a few claps and it's so cute. Their sweet little hands
SO submitted I think 4 separate proposals for his new job today. There is a significant amount of money in all of those. One of them by itself has the potential for something like a 4k commission for him... I am hoping so, so hard.
Also, anyone else's kiddo discover that BEING AS LOUD AS POSSIBLE is the funnest thing ever? DD2 just .... yells. There is no other word for it. She isn't even angry! Just, full of noise. I don't remember DD1 doing that at the same age. Now they squeak and squawk and shriek at each other.
venyia yes to the loudness. The boy yells "ba ba ba ba ba" super loudly alllll the time lately. And he makes a little old man face with his lips while he does it. It's hilarious.
coffeequeen14 no improvement still. He got the blood work done Friday to hopefully start Humira next week. Just have to cross our fingers that insurance will cover it.
Keira was hanging out with me in the car while we waited for dh to get his blood work done. Her big sis was passed out in her car seat in the back. I love her fuzzy little head haha
Rama big hugs reading those names brought tears to my eyes.
bocaburger you can't be mad at that face! What a cutie
DD likes to do this now too. One of her (many) daycare outfit changes the other day was because she flipped her bottle over and let it dump out all over herself

Anyone else going through a phase of just being a super screamy pain in the fucking ass? Like all of a sudden putting him on the changing table is a screamfest. Putting him in the high chair is a screamfest. Putting him in the car seat is a screamfest. No idea why he's doing this all of a sudden but it's really aggravating.
spicysalmonroll, my little one has ramped up the noise in general recently, for sure. I think she learned she can not only have opinions, but she can express them. At full volume. Sigh.
