therealbug, oh man, I'm sooo glad you had that OB appt! Wow. Your mama gut was right! Thinking of you and hoping they are able to stop the contractions. So sorry you have to be on bed rest and are being monitored but really glad they are keeping an eye on you and the babies. Please keep us posted!
king26, I had a fetal echo-cardiogram with DS around 23wks, I believe. My last OB ordered them standard for any pregnancies resulting from IVF as there are some studies that show IVF babies are at higher risk for heart defects. (Note: the data on this is all over the place and many Dr's have varying opinions. My OB had a "better safe than sorry" approach) The scan itself was just like an anatomy scan except it focused on the heart. It was cool to see all the parts/vessels/chambers. Just be prepared for a long scan. DS's scan was all normal but he WAS born with a heart defect but it did NOT show up on the echo-cardiogram (his condition usually can't be found while in utero anyway). Because of DS's condition AND the fact that my current babies were also conceived via IVF/FET my current OB has also ordered an echo-cardiogram in a few weeks. Anyway, all that to say its usually a pretty standard scan. Put your feet up and relax!

I am late and mobile so no tagging. But looks like a lot is happening with everyone this week! Today is 24wks2ds.
My in-laws are visiting and are a bit much, I am glad I have to work tomorrow... Otherwise not much happening but the end of the semester and tons of students suddenly wanting to have meetings.
I have my glucose test next week and need to schedule the rest of my appointments. I am more than halfway and still can hide it at work with a scarf or sweater which is crazy to me! I could not imagine comments like some of you are getting!
Q: Zulily and old Navy if I can't get it at the thirty store by us which has amazing stuff in good condition. I never would have thought to look there if a friend hadn't told me.

Quick update on me - they went ahead and discharged me last night which was a pleasant surprise. The nurses thought I would be in for a few weeks and were talking about moving to a bigger/nicer room as soon as one opened. They have my contractions under control and the doctor felt that since I was no longer on IV meds I could do bed rest at home just as easily as at the hospital at this point. I have a follow up on Tuesday and we will see how everything is looking then.
therealbug, I am beyond thrilled to see this update!!! I am sooooo glad they were able to get the contractions under control and I know you will feel so much more comfortable doing bedrest at home. Being in the hospital sucks! I have everything crossed that things look good on Tuesday. Stay put babies!
