WTF more snow? I had no idea this was coming our way and I have to drive to Lville today. I just hope there aren't a bunch of crazy, slow drivers out there. Ugh the cleared roads in our neighborhood are covered again.
I'm sure there are some happy snow mommas out there tho.
I am happy because I got another snow day. (Missing Ash Wednesday mass at school. Shucks darn) I sent LO to daycare today so I can get some stuff done around here and run some errands.

I didn't check the weather before leaving work last night and didn't bring my laptop home. But I have the best boss in the world and she did so long as I keep up on email that's working from home Dh took L to the daycare this morning. It then took him 3 hours to get downtown. His bus driver freaked out going down the hill in mt. Washington and called for another bus to pick them up. I'm so looking forward to a nap
This is not the maybe an inch of snow that they were saying when I went to bed last night...
I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be another "snow" day for me and the kiddos since the temps will be so low. Since they won't be able to play outside tomorrow I'm going to have to get creative.
They never get it right, do they? Imo, this is worse than Monday, and they made such a big deal about the snow on Monday.
I woke up to my boss calling and telling me we had a two hour delay, i look out my window to snow everywhere and our neighborhood hadn't been touched. Apparently everyone was sleeping instead of ploughing.

WTF noisy as shit people painting the apt. upstairs? Can't you keep it the eff down? Painting is not generally a noisy task. If you wake DS from his nap you will know my wrath.
Adding to the WTF about the snow! I made myself go shovel the damn driveway yesterday and haul the trash and recycling down for pickup this morning, not knowing about the snow expected today. Now I get to shovel again and try to haul the cans back up the hill. It's not my week.

Wtf stepmother. Really you are going to critique my parenting of my 10 yr old after visiting for 3 weeks. She feels unappreciated you say because I make her be a member of the family and pitch in? Ohh pardon me while I dont feel pitty for the little girl who had $400 dropped for her bday. Must be rough sitting on the couch with your iPhone and Kindle. Please tell me how having my DD give her brother a bath or watch him for an hour so I can get some much needed sleep is traumatizing her.
No one at 10 realizes how good they do or do not have it.
I do remember at 10 being at your house having to clean and do chores even though I was there only every other weekend. Had to do chores while my step siblings did not because they only came out twice a year you said. Got to watch them open up more expensive thoughtful gifts than myself or my brother.
So yes please keep your parenting wisdom to yourself.

chunkymonkeylvr,I feel your pain. My mom told me my teenagers are feeling left out now that we have a baby too. Um, ok. They feel left out because they are teenagers and they dont want to do anything where they may be seen in public with us. They both have new smart phones, get driven wherever they ask, get a hefty weekly infusion of cash and we're pretty liberal with their comings and goings so long as they keep their academics up and do the 10 minutes worth of daily chores - ie pick up after themselves.
Everything we do we invite them along yet they always decline because they'd rather do something with their friends. Unsolicited parental advice is the worst.

Agreed that the snow today was much worse than earlier this week. I made it to LVille fairly uneventfully but I saw a ton of cars on the side of the highway because they couldn't make it up the hills.

vlagroupie exactly lol. I really don't feel sorry that 3 days out of the month my child has to put forth any energy around the house. Sorry not sorry I'm 100000 months pregnant she can step up and I don't feel guilty lol.
Snow day for kenton co tomorrow due to roads and temps...... Ohh lordy.
Agreed- I love the chart that shows what chores kids can do at what age. Chores make them think twice about leaving their shit everywhere for the magic cleaning fairy to clean up.

I've seen a couple different charts. Some have more than others or break them up in different age groups. I am probably not into making my kid do a lot of chores or even everything the chart shows. But a lot of folks assume you can't do chores under 5 or 10 or whatever, and that's not true.
