I'm making my mom's cheesecake for our Easter and it sounds really good so I'd put that on the menu! If it were my brunch, I'd probably do a savory egg casserole and/or quiche, some type of sweet carb thing (monkey bread or muffins most likely), fruit salad, bacon (always), maybe yogurt and granola.
There's also a crockpot breakfast thing I've made with hash browns and eggs, but I can't find the recipe. Make ahead things are the best for brunch, IMO, because I'm so not a morning person.
I would do coffee cake, quiche or an egg type of casserole, mixed fruit or fruit skewers or platter, maybe some crackers and cheese, and cinnamon rolls. If I were having brunch that what I would do.
My MIL makes this really good sausage and egg casserole that I love for brunch. Fruit salads, some sort of pastry or sweet (coffee cake, waffles, muffins, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls), mini pigs in a blanket with crescent rolls and lil smokies, hash browns or potatoes O'Brian,
Eta my MILs casserole is really similar to the overnight casserole that inaya posted a recipe for.
@eliida you know I'm going to try! Honestly if I come I'd stay longer than a weekend because I can't justify a plane ticket for such a short amount of time
I have never made a frittata but want to try sometime soon. There was an article from NYT maybe that listed 8-10 different variations you could try with the basic frittata. It is pretty easy to make one and they are so delicious!
OK, Epicurious and it shows it 6 different ways. Here's the link.
