I need a weekly check-in because I like to see know where everyone is at. So I hope no one minds that I started this. It won't be as detailed as the ones meerkatmillie's were.
EDD:
How many weeks are you:
Appointments, etc:
Rants/raves:
GTKY: who has started thinking about their nursery? What colors/theme are you planning?
Rants/raves: I'm starting to get round ligament pain. It was hurting just to walk earlier. On a positive note...I'm feeling the baby more and more. I love that it's getting more regular.
GTKY: I have been putting lots of thought into the nursery. I don't usually do a theme I typically just have set colors and decorate around that. I'm thinking teal, lavender, and silver. I have a Pinterest board already going with ideas.
Appointments, etc: nothing til the 24th; that will be follow up AS and ten doc appt later that week. Feels like it's so far between appointments!
Rants/raves: love the movement! Only felt outside a couple times but get some good jabs on the inside. but I'm SO BIG, I can't believe I'm only half way there. I also get so tired so quickly doing anything active, it's frustrating.
GTKY: who has started thinking about their nursery? What colors/theme are you planning? We are team green, so we are going to do Winnie the Pooh theme, and painting the room a light yellow. We'll probably do yellow, light green colors. Not going overboard on anything but just want to give it a little character.
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

Edd: 9/2 20 weeks exactly
Cervix check/ultrasound coming up on Tuesday. Baby is sitting so low. If this one comes back okay I'll feel a lot better since we are so far into 2nd tri now.
Rants/raves: just wish I didn't get so tired doing normal/everyday stuff. I want to cook, clean, garden...on the weekends/evenings, but I'm so damn tired I just can't get it all done.
We are planning a woodland theme nursery. The room is blue already. So hoping to find a bear skin or white fur rug (it's hard wood floors), some red flannel drapes. I'm making a few blankets/quilts that I already bought the fabric for. Then will do some wall art.
ETa: also pretty sure I've been having Braxton Hicks occasionally and they're a pain!! I was never sure if I had them with dd and had always heard subsequent pregnancies that you are more likely to have them, but never knew what they were like.
Married to dh since 2012. Ttc journey: Miscarriage at 8 weeks February 2013 DD born march 2014 Miscarriage at 6 weeks September 2015 Miscarriage at 16 weeks, our angel Sebastian 1/23/16 Pregnancy number 5!! Edd 9/2/17 (my moms brithday!)
We have our u/s on Mon and then appt with the doctor on the 27th. I'll come back and update after my u/s if I know anything.
Rant/raves: I tire easily. It's starting to be a little hard to bend over. I can still, but I can tell that its getting harder. I also get stiff/sore while sleeping since I can only sleep in two positions (yes I have a pregnancy pillow.)
No thought on nursery. The only child I decorated a nursery for was for DS and that was in our old house. Currently, the baby's room is our spare bedroom. Not sure when we will finish our basement to move our spare bedroom. Baby will be sleeping in our room for a few months, so I'm not really thinking about that yet. Plus...I'm not really a huge decorator. So....yeah. My poor kids.....
Appointments: OB on Thursday for just a regular check-up and AS with MFM on 5/10.
Rants/Raves: nausea is finally gone. Starting to get RLP and back aches in return, lol. Feeling pretty good overall, though!
GTKY: Girl-I found a sheet with watercolor florals I love, so something around that. Purples, teals and deep pinks. Boy-owls. Probably blue, grey and green.
Appointments, etc: Next monthly midwife appointment this Wednesday 4/19. Really looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again because movement is still sporadic/questionable, probably because of anterior placenta. Then it's the A/S on 5/4.
Rants/raves: Nausea and itchiness have crept back in over the last few days but it's manageable. Otherwise not feeling very pregnant yet. We had DS's 2nd birthday on Friday, his party on Saturday, and Easter today so it has been a massive weekend. I'm taking next week off work to recover and catch up on household stuff.
GTKY: Baby will be in our room for the first 6ish months then hopefully moving in with DS if sleep is happening. If not, we will regroup and make a plan. We have two spare rooms but one is a guest room and the other is set up as a library/study so I can't really visualise another kids room right now!
laurenash323, I make the crib bedding too. It's so easy and I love how it's all custom made.
Also, I can't ever tell if my nonpainful contractions are Braxton or not. With my first I went into premature labor and after the first hour the contractions quit hurting. They were still productive contractions though. I'm pretty sure those are the kind of contractions that got me to 7cm without even knowing it. I haven't ever worried about it because I have had no signs of premature labor with my last 2 pregnancies.
I was just sharing my take on Braxton hicks. Not meaning to freak anyone out about Braxton hicks. I honestly don't think what happens to me is the norm at all.
laurenash323 I only had Braxton Hicks with my first literally two days before I went into real labor. I had them much earlier with DD and pretty sure I had them off and on throughout the second half of pregnancy. I think I've had them with this one already occasionally.
Appointments, etc: Last appt was on the 12th for cervical check. Still couldn't determine sex. And cervix is at 3.8 (it was at 4 two weeks prior but she said it could fluctuate so trying to not worry about that). A/S + Cervical check on the 26th
Rants/raves: I have to go to HR tomorrow to see about bigger shirts. I hope they have some sort of maternity style since I am already wearing a fucking men's shirt because "we don't carry YOUR size, it'll take 6 weeks to get that in" (they do carry it). And that was last June.... Assholes. I really don't want to deal with them.
GTKY: who has started thinking about their nursery? What colors/theme are you planning? Baby will share a room with us, then DS so, nothing really theme'ish like we did with DS (womp womp).

gwapes my cervix measured 4.3 my first check, then 3.8 and then 3.9. My dr said really anything over 2.5 she's happy with . So as long as it doesn't start trending down, I wouldn't worry too much 😀

EDD: Sept 17
How many weeks are you: 18w1d
Appointments, etc: I have an appointment on Friday for my mid-pregnancy u/s (we're team green... but it'll be nice to see baby again) and a checkup with nurse practitioner.
Rants/raves: I'm feeling consistent movement from baby. It's reassuring to feel him/her kicking around in there. I think I'm finally starting to "look" and feel pregnant too. I feel much better than I did during a good portion of first tri. I'm still exhausted by the end of most days, but... almost three-year-old. 😆
GTKY: I haven't started planning for real yet -- brainstorming I guess. I think I'll start by making him/her a quilt and base the colors and theme off of that. Right now I'm thinking mint, gray, navy, white, yellow... but all of that could change depending on what fabric speaks to me. I'm not a huge theme person either, but I do like the room to kind of flow and for everything to look cozy.
I have my anatomy scan next Monday. We were team green last pregnancy, but are looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby this time! Monthly OB is appt is next wed. I'll post afterwards!
I'm also enjoying feeling my little "fish" moving around more frequently. Feels like my belly is a fishbowl!
Gtky: no nursery plans for this lo. We're going to rearrange our bedroom into a temporary nursery and when we are ready for baby to move in with dd then we'll rearrange all of the 3 kid rooms. Ss and sd rooms need to switch around at that point too.
Rants/raves: Have decided to completely cut back on any unnecessary activity. I am not afraid that I will have this baby early, but I am afraid that I will get put on bed rest again. I had been walking 5000 steps a day and doing yoga a few times a week. But as MH said, I have my whole life to exercise. And if I get through this pregnancy with no bed rest, I will already be more fit than I was at the end of my last pregnancy. So those extra steps and tighter glutes are really not worth the risk. Hoping to keep cervix at 2.5 cm for a while longer.
In other news, not feeling nearly as much movement as I was this time last pregnancy. I think this baby is sitting really low, because the movement I do feel is in my pelvis rather than my belly. Maybe I am just way busier this pregnancy and not paying as much attention.
GTKY: who has started thinking about their nursery? What colors/theme are you planning? This little nugget will get to be roommates with DS#1. No plans to paint or decorate. Just need to buy a new crib, unless DS moves out of his before September.
laurenash323 I had lots of BH last pregnancy, starting at about 16 weeks. If I had a very active day they were around once an hour. NEVER painful though and when I was really in labour I could totally tell the difference. Staying hydrated and not letting my bladder get too full helped (yes, this is a vicious cycle). This pregnancy I don't have them as frequently. My OB said the prevalence is totally random, and can depend on where the placenta is located, where baby likes to hang out, and various other factors.
gwapes I see from the roster that you had one previous early delivery. Was that due to IC or premature labour? I ask because I have IC but never went into labour - my issues are purely structural/muscular you could say. Are you on any preventative measures this time around (cerclage or progesterone?). I think that cervix length sounds fairly average, but it's always worth talking to your doctor if you are feeling nervous. You are the best judge of your body and you have the best memory of how things went down last time.
DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
salmon2017, we don't know why DS came early. At 29w when I went to L&D i was at 3m w/ my water bulging in my cervix. I do get weekly Makena shots, plus bi-weekly cervical checks. The Tech said it was fine and not worry but, ya know...

I know, it's going to be stressful no matter what. If it would ease your mind you could voluntarily cut back on activity - consciously sit when you can, rest as frequently as possible. Sounds like your medical team is being very cautious.

Appointments, etc: MFM on Wednesday for u/s (I assume it's an 18w a/s)
Rants/raves: feeling lots of chubby and not pregnant-looking, my shoulder hurts from side-sleeping, and it's so frustrating not working out like I am used to (doctor's orders). BUT, it's amazing to feel her moving around on the outside (posterior placenta), and I think I've also felt her on the inside (not entirely sure). And overall, just very happy to be this far along.
GTKY: she will stay with us for a while downstairs, and the nursery will eventually be upstairs. That room is already a pretty gray, and I'll accent with pink and gold. Not sure what direction it will take, but I have some pinterest inspirations. I'm thinking some sort of rustic or subtle princess theme.

TTC since '08 ME: PCOS, late DH: CBAVD due to CF IVF #1-6 all fresh cycles, all BFN Lost DH in 2015 due to CF Met SO and started TTC again SO: quality issues, started Clomid BFP 1/13/17, natural cycle (!) Due 9/19/17
@gotgingy, oh my gosh YES! I forgot to mention the RL pains. I usually lay on the floor with DS to do colouring or puzzles. I took me about 10 mins to get off the floor yesterday because of the pains!
DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)
Ultrasound went well. The tech told us everything looked great and baby boy is measuring right on with our dates. I'll meet with the doctor next week and she'll go over everything with me. Baby did not want us to see his face. Everytime she would switch to 4D to get a pic at his face he would put his hand over his face and stretch his head way back. She was persistent and did manage to get one picture of his face. Little stinker already!
Appointments, etc: I'll have my monthly OB checkup next Friday, 4/28.
Rants/raves:
GTKY: who has started thinking about their nursery? What colors/theme are you planning? Going with a modern Boho theme? Pops of Pink/Navy/Gold Finally ordered the crib and dresser and waiting for them to come in - in early May (babyletto Hudson). I have a rug in that I'm basing the colors around and can now start painting! I started painting last night - just the ceiling in white so far (it was beige). SO...I have a while to go!
caybeh, all my babies hate ultrasounds. I think that it bothers them when it hits them in the face. I could be way off but I'm basing t on how my babies always respond to it.

Yeah, our first was pretty cooperative but the rest have not been. I wondered that too if they can somehow sense the ultrasound. This Little guy seemed like he could as he would put his hands over his face or stretch his head out of view when she would put the wand on his head.

caybeh , leviosa , my babies run away too. MH actually works with US technology (on a large scale, for geological purposes) and he is very very hesitant to have any scans done above and beyond what is required, just based on the baby's developing brain/ears etc and the power and noise of the US machine. I am not sure how much merit there is in this, and how much is just his parental worry, but just in case, I listen to him. I figure I will see the baby's face soon enough!
ETA: I also read somewhere (cannot cite source) that the sound for the baby is like if there was a helicopter hovering above your house. Can't be very pleasant. I think I would run away too!

salmon2017 most of my movement is down in my pelvis too. Dh still hasn't felt baby move. Dd felt him once last night and I was shocked we actually had her hand in the right spot. Nighttime is when I feel the most from the outside.

That's what mine do. They also turn away from it ever time it comes close to their head.
salmon2017, I totally believe it. They wouldn't react that way of it didn't have some kind of affect on them. They say home dopplers are a bad idea bc people use them daily and it can be bothersome (not necessarily harmful....I have no clue for sure) to the baby.
