We went to the midwife this morning and heard a great heartbeat. DS was really into it, saying "Listen! Baby's in there"... I think he's actually starting to get it
That's adorable that your DS is starting to get it! How old is he? I keep talking about the baby being in my belly, and we've been watching all the Daniel Tiger/Baby Margaret episodes and talking about how he's going to have a little sister too (yes, Daniel Tiger episodes do most of my parenting. Lol), but he's still not getting it even a little bit.
He just turned two. There's definitely still some confusion but he often points to my belly now and says "baby's in there" and sometimes "can I see it?"... But every once in a while he will talk about what's in his stomach (apples, cereal, milk) and throw in "baby" too, haha! But he's getting there. I need to check out Daniel Tiger!
ETA sorry my reply was so late. We've been staying in a little cabin in the mountains for the last few days sans internet.
The kids and I aren't going to church today. I'm pretty sure DS would be ok to go, but I'm just going to give him one more day of rest. DH is on worship team so he is going.
It's gloomy and rainy and will be now for most of the coming week. I miss the sunshine already....
caybeh, we just had a week of rain and now it is sunny. We spent a large portion of the afternoon outside. Usually after an hour or so the kids are ready to come inside but today they cried when it was time to go in.
I swam laps for 40 minutes today. I had such a huge endorphin release that I felt euphoric for awhile afterwards. I think regular exercise is definitely my way of having self care. I am a much happier person when I get to the gym regularly.
