I had been scoping out the number candles in the party section at Target for DDs bday a few weeks ago. After 2 or 3 trips, they finally restocked with pink ones. I thought - score! I was waiting for them to have pink. I grabbed one and threw it in my cart.
When I was packing up for DDs party, I looked at the candle and saw it was a "2".

I made a grocery list (on my phone of course). Checked things off as I went.
Got home and didn't buy three items even though I checked them off. I know one of them the aisle was crowded and I meant to go back, but why did I check it off?
I forgot to give E a bath tonight. Does that count?
Meh. We only bath A twice a week. ETA - i mean, if you skipped it becuase you didn't feel like it, whatever. but If you had planned on it and literally forgot, sure, I'd chalk it up to mom brain

We only bath twice a week too, I intended to bathe her last night and completely blanked on it. I hope it happens tonight!

So, I've had this insulated travel mug for two years. It brags that it has an "easy clean lid". Well, I found it a royal pain. And it isn't dishwasher safe.
Yesterday I noticed some text molded into the underside of the lid. Yeah, it snaps apart into two pieces!! So it really is easy to clean. It was so gross, you guys.
This is like the time I finally figured out the yellow pieces of my Medela flanges came off and I didn't need to be trying to shove a brush through them...

This is probably a good time to remind anyone who uses the Munchking 360 cups that the silicone pops off...

In your defense, those yellow pieces are hard to pull off. I finally figured out you have to wiggle them side to side. I decided to replace with the duckbill valves instead.
Not funny, but scary. I've been side nursing a lot and i always make sure if I'm tired I put her back on my chest. Anyhow, I've woken up almost every night (regardless of whether we side nursed or not) in a panic thinking I rolled over her. 😕

pibblemom I am so sorry. I had that problem the first month, I kept having nightmares that I fell asleep with the baby and lost him in the covers. I would wake up crying and digging around the covers looking for him.
I was heading home from work last night and get to the end of the road when i see my gas light on and think "oh, that's right I didn't stop to get gas before because I had the dogs with me. I'll probably have them tomorrow too," and start doing the mileage in my head of how many back and forths I can get before I REALLY need gas (it's like a 3 mile commute) and i look in my back seat... no dogs. I forgot them at work. 😲 had to call my mom and let her know I'd be 10 mins late coming home because I'd forgotten about my other children while I was worried about how the baby was fighting sleep for grandma. *facepalm*
I'm still getting use to two kids pibblemom. When they're extra quiet in the car sometimes I panic because "omg did I pack both of them up? It's too quiet! Are they both in the car? Or did I leave dd in the bucket by the door?"
pibblemom, before I went back to work I'd take B in with me to drop DD off at daycare. He'd usually fall asleep for his first nap in the bucket so I'd stash him in the corner of the classroom while I helped DD unpack her lunch and get her breakfast situated.
Well one day after a particularly bad night, I was totally just droning. After I unpacked DD, I literally took about 4 steps toward the door before I remembered B. The daycare teacher totally caught me and we had a good laugh. She could tell that the lights were on but no one was home.
I was frazzled this morning because DH left early and both kids woke a little later than usual. I finally got us out the door and dropped the kids off. I drove the 45 minutes to the office only to realize my computer bag was at home. Fail.
