I thought I'd create a thread for those suffering with MS or HG. I was just diagnosed with HG (oh what fun!) and am on diclegis - I was also on this with my last one but didn't have HG, this time is sooo much worse. Even with the meds I still get sick and tend to only be and to keep down the food I'm "craving" at the time.
Leave any tips of what works for you as well!!
For me, popsicles tend to be the thing I can keep down. The dickegis really makes me drowsy and a coke is the only thing I have been able to stomach.
I type this as I abandon my sandwich and am now starving, but I have no clue what to eat :/.

Diclgeis was a big old nothing for me. My Ob put me on Zofran after I told her I'd been throwing up 3-5 times a day. So far it's been somewhat helpful. On the downside I'm extremely constipated. The only thing other that has sort of helped me has been lemon or lime water. I found this out from a total fluke, but for whatever reason it's been making it bearable to drink water. Seriously how can plain water make a person nauseous? I HATE the first trimester. It's all nerves, puking, and hiding.

My MS started just after 6 weeks. I've not had vomiting, but it is an all-day stomach/throat nausea that only alleviates when I lay down.
My RE recommended the Diclegis "hack," and so this week I've been taking half a Unisom at night and 100mg of B6 first thing in the morning. It seems to be working. The one really bad day I had this week, I realized later that I forgot to take the B6 part of the combo!
Also - funny that you mention pancakes, veganontuesdays . Sunday was a really bad day and all I could stand were these leftover pancakes I had in the fridge. Ate them plain, cold, and they tasted like heaven, ha!

Ms ramped up at 6 weeks this weekend right on schedule. With DD I puked every day. Last pregnancy and this one it's just all day nausea (Fx). Ginger ale and bread are the only things that settle my stomach.

Plain water is rough... sparkling water with LOTS of ice, with lime and ginger, is pretty much my pregnant go-to.

I also have HG. I am taking Zofran and diclectin. My main suggestion is to have a low threshold for getting IV fluids if you can't keep anything down. Fluids make a big difference for me. The things that I have the best luck with are coke or lemonade with a straw, popsicles, and bagels. On bad days I can't keep any food or fluids down and then unfortunately, there is nothing to do but get IV fluids. I do find both Zofran and diclectin helpful but when I am taking 3-4 diclectin within 24 hours it makes me so groggy. I totally commiserate with you guys!
