I hope it's okay for me to jump in and start this, I need to vent!
WTF husband?!? You didn't come home for lunch like normal and haven't answered my text. You are making me freak out because we had icy roads this morning. I know you work 5 minutes from here and have a 4wd truck, but couldn't you just check in?
OMG-- I HATE that! I am the biggest worrier-- I am sure he's fine.
I'm WTFing the fact that it's 30 degrees here right now and it feels warm. That just ain't right.
Its 16 here and feels like a heat wave. I was outside in a hoody getting side eyed all over
I've been reprimanded by several coworkers and old people in the last few days for not wearing a jacket. I'm over thirty, people. Let me wear my hoodie in peace.
Ive got so much to do today and and DD went down an hour later than usual. I hope this doesn't throw the whole day off.
I'm in a similar boat. LO woke up 2 hours early this morning. So far, his mood has been better than expected, but I need to make some calls, which is surely when he will tank.
The no call/text from a SO not coming home for lunch would drive me crazy with worry too.
WTF me and LO? We bought a ton of fruit yesterday. It is already over half gone.
I love an obscene amount of dressing on my salads. I am currently eating a salad that is WAY too big for the salad plate. I should have switched to a bigger plate, but I didn't want to dirty another dish. I can't believe I stirred it without spilling any.

Creamy dressings like ranch I love tons of but this is an acidic balsamic based dressing and there is so much on there the acidity was hurting my mouth!
I am also guilty of not switching to a larger plate/bowl because I don't want to wash extra dishes lol.

WTF me? Just decide if you are cooking or not. There are plenty of leftovers, but DD is so picky I am thinking of cooking something for her. Also if I cook tonight I definitely won't have to cook tomorrow night when I plan to run errands and hour away from home.
WTF me? You thought kindergarten enrollment was no big deal and you had it all figured out, then you start asking questions of what others are doing and completely rethinking it! When I was a kid it wasn't this hard! WTF work? Stop being so borderliney with the "I hate you, don't leave me!" attitude.

WTF DH? What do you mean you are NEVER coming home? He is so busy at school getting ready for a big observation I guess. He works an hour away so this really stinks. The later he stays the more likely he won't see DD awake today. I hope he gets done soon.

I remember nights at school like that, I'm sorry People who aren't teachers or married to a teacher don't realize how hard they have to work outside of normal school hours.

Thanks tomorrowisanotherday! It turns out he had a large data binder due by the end of the night and there were other teachers there. He is on his way home now, but still has to write lesson plans when he gets home.

smalltownmoon He didn't even realize he had done something wrong! They were out on Tuesday because of weather, so things were crazy busy at his work. Evidently he didn't get to take a lunch break and couldn't respond to my text. He said he was sorry, but he has never really understood the concept of checking in. He lived the first 30 years of his life as a bachelor and he is still adjusting to me wanting to know that he is okay I guess... (We have only been married 6 months BTW)

Love tit for understanding! Kinda makes me never want to go back to work, even though I love teaching. I am afraid if I go back when DS starts school that I will start missing out!

Glad he's ok and just got bogged down at work. The fact that he did't realize that he should check in sounds about right for a lot of men. They really don't realize how much we worry in a situation like that. And you're still newly married so it will take him some time to catch on.
Checking in is such a hard concept for men. I've been with DH over 5 years, married for almost 3, and he STILL acts shocked that I worry about him when I can't reach him lol!

Please don't tell me that! Here I was hoping it would get better
BTW TheEleventhHour I love your SN and avatar! I am such a Doctor Who fan (something else DH doesn't understand lol)

tomorrowisanotherday Thanks! DH doesn't understand any of my TV obsessions. He is a sports only kind of guy. It was pretty shocking when I was able to get him to watch The Walking Dead with me.

DH is a movies only kinda guy. We watch so many movies, and it doesn't matter that we have seen it.... 15 times already! He has the opposite of a short attention span

Well nuts to that, he has a family now and has to suck it up and check in! (IMO lol) DH works law enforcement so we barely talk on shift but if he's going to be late or something news-worthy goes down that might freak me out, he at least sends a little message saying he's safe, late, etcc,....
