We welcomed our rainbow baby on Tuesday May 2. I was booked for RCS for noon. Baby boy Ell.iot was born at weighing 7lbs. The doctor had to do a lot of maneuvering and actually had to flip the baby to get him out. He was born with a true knot in his cord. So we are thanking our lucky stars nothing had happened.
Recovery has been pretty awful. My hemoglobin dropped by more than half and I ended up needing a transfusion. Even after my transfusion it only went up a bit. Then went back down then up again. I was having some serious pain in my stomach above the incision line so they were suspecting internal bleeding but did an u/s that didn't reveal anything. They discharged me late Friday night. And here I sit in ER with a possible hematoma rupture. I am just ready for all this shit to be done , I want to be home with my babies.

First, congratulations!!
Second, I'm so sorry to hear about the complications! That must be insanely difficult. I landed myself in the ER 7 days post-partum because my emergency csection incision burst open and then I went through 16 weeks of painful wound packing. Different scenarios but I definitely understand the stress of the unknown when complications arise. If you want to talk privately to vent or anything, totally reach out. HUGS!

Congratulations on your precious rainbow, heartangelsmama! I'm sorry your recovery is rough. I also had hemoglobin issues after my RCS and they discussed doing a transfusion but decided to just let me take iron 3 times a day. This recovery is worse than I expected, too. I'm one week out and still in a lot of pain. But these precious babies we have are worth it!
