Ok so this is my first postpartum summer and there is no way I will be able to keep up with shaving since I barely manage to shower twice a week (don't judge). My body hair is dark and thick (thanks PCOS). What is your favorite way to remove hair that lasts longer than a few days? How much does it cost and how often do you have to keep up with it?
I'm a little terrified of waxing (especially pubic hair, legs I can probably handle) so feel free to tell me that it's less painful than it sounds.
TBH, I often just do a quick shave of whatever leg hair is exposed before I leave the house. Because lazy. I did get a professional wax once. I don't remember it being super painful besides behind the knees and bikini.
Me: 32, PCOS Him: 30, 4.5% morph, TTC: 10/11/12 After 5 failed Clomid cycles and 3 failed Femara cycles with HCG triggers, IVF #1 w/ICSI April 2015 resulted in a BFP! Our little Newt was born January 2016!
I get eyebrows and bikini area done. I find eyebrows hurt worse for me, not sure why. I don't find the bikini area that painful. I get horrible razor burn so I do bikini line in the summer only. The first time I went I was expecting worse then it turned out to be. The cost varies depending on where you go and I am sure it is different in various places in the US. It also depends on how much you take off, full vs. partial. I would just google salons in your area, most have prices on there website.
I am a hairy beast so if I want to keep up I should go every 3 weeks, but this does not happen. Usually a couple of time in the summer for bikini, once a month if I can for eyebrows.

I used to get regular bikini waxes and stopped when I started doing IF treatments because for whatever reason, it hurt so much more. I shave now and hate it. For my legs I actually use Nair, but my leg hair is thin and blond for the most part.
I love nair (http://www.naircare.com/en/Women/In-Shower-Creams). You put it on then just shower as usual and rub it off at the end. Highly recommend it. It lasts for a long time with my bikini area (I do it monthly).
