Yep! I did it and loved it. I have a one day period now that occasionally requires a panty liner. As opposed to feeling like I would pass out from blood loss for a week every month.
mommyatty - any hormonal changes? I know they say no and I understand the procedure so it makes sense - but I have this persistent paranoia that something worse than it not working could happen....
Me! All good. I still have more of a period than I want, I was hoping none at all, but it is way better. Spotting for a few days then one day of a normal period.
No hormonal changes that I can tell. The odd thing is without a real period it's harder to keep up with where you are in your cycle. So I'm occasionally surprised by a migraine, which happen first and last day of my "period." Or I'll realize I'm pissed off over nothing and go "oh yeah, pms!"
I had one. It was the best thing I ever did. I was having 10-day long periods, and for 3-4 of those days, I would have to make sure I had extra clothes if I went into the office. Now I have a period that's maybe 3-4 days, but pantyliner light the whole time. I still get some cramps, but nothing like before. I'm still a complete lunatic in the days leading up to my period, so trying to find natural ways to deal with it (I've heard chasteberry is good).
The procedure itself, for me, was in office. They gave me a cocktail of drugs to take beforehand, which made me nauseous. I came home and slept. Woke up in pain, took a dilaudid that they prescribed, and promptly threw up. Did not take it again. Crampy the next day, almost 100% better the day after.
