I have so much grading to do. Next week is the last week of the semester. I just feel like giving everyone an 'A.' I also need to go buy after birth recovery products. I want to make Padsicles this weekend. DH wants to go to a festival today. Just the thought of all that walking scares me.

ttcbabyj There is a big baby expo this weekend that I had wanted to attend, but it's just going to be too much walking. I need to walk to the store and wanted to go to the library to return some books but i worry even that will be too much.
Since I'm being induced tomorrow night, just trying to get the house cleaned up and be sure everything is ready. Really lights a fire under your butt to know the exact day youre going in to the hospital!

The walking is just too much. I start off really strong and then my feet start stinging and I feel like I'm towing a trailer hitched to my pelvis. Good luck with your induction! A planned induction would definitely put a fire under me to get this grading done.
I took DD to a sibling class this morning. She loved it and asked such great questions. I was so proud of her. I also prepped her when we got home that DS might be a little sick and might not be in Mommy's room or be in the little crib like they showed her and then showed her pictures of her in the NICU with the wires so she wouldn't be scared if he needs them too. She was so sweet and said if baby brother couldn't come out, she would just stick her hand in the hole and hold his hand so he wouldn't be scared. She is so sweet. I am resting up a lot this weekend based on doctor's orders.

ttcbabyj, I have to work on report cards too. Blah!
DH asked if I wanted to go for a walk "to the pond" with him which is over 3 miles round trip. I laughed. Instead I'm going to get a pedicure
We have the little things of baby prep left to do this weekend. We already put together the swing and bouncer, put the car seat base in my car, picked out a new carrier (I didn't like the one we registered for). Big thing left this weekend is packing the hospital bag.

I hope you can get everything immediate done and can worry about the rest later. You will have a new baby soon!

eucalyptus luckily most of the big things are done already and it is just little things. Clean out the fridge, wash breast pump and such, dust and vacuum and do a really good cleaning of the house, laundry, cut DD's nails and set up the co sleeper. DH is installing a new screen door to the balcony. Sounds like a lot but it's nothing too crazy.

MIL and FIL brought over some burgers, pasta salad, and a pie for us to enjoy today. They currently have the kids at the park by our house while I am sitting and enjoying some of my shows. I'm having some decently painful contractions but trying not to get my hopes up. I think I should start timing/counting them but I'm not sure. If they keep up later today I will start timing them.

violetrose, lotsoflotts - I envy you. I will get some help with DS this afternoon/evening when we go over to my parents' house for dinner, but I've been solo parenting since yesterday morning while DH has been at a conference and he is not sure when he'll be back (sometime tonight). Today hasn't been too bad, though. After I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, DS and I had a nice time walking around our farmer's market and downtown a little, spoke with some nice people about children and pregnancy and one older gentleman even told me to let the advice go in one ear and out the other.
We did our normal Saturday morning where the kids and I go out and about. Gymnastics, haircuts, and lunch with friends today. The place where we get haircuts and had lunch was having a spring festival so there were tons of kid activities.
The kids are napping now and I think I will too. Later we may go swimming - or maybe DH will just take the kids and I'll relax. My birthday is Wednesday so DH picked up stuff to make pizza and ice cream and is having he kids help him make it for me. I thought that was a cute idea. I got him a pizza oven for a past holiday that he doesn't use very often.
I feel like I'm in this weird limbo where baby could be here next week or not for another few weeks. I'm sure most of you are in the same boat!
I got my garden planted this morning! I've been lazy this afternoon but think I'll make a rhubarb cake yet since DH's siblings are coming over for a fire this evening. Also I have to figure out what supper will be still. My new windows are installed (finally!) so tomorrow I'm going to start nursery prep.
I planned on cleaning, but lacked the energy. No plans for tomorrow either, except church, but I may not even go to that because that would surely zap all my energy. Sigh.
Had a baby shower today, that was fun. Poor DS has a 104 fever . We were supposed to do maternity pics tomorrow and our old nanny drove 5 hours to do them for us. Hoping the fever passes quickly.
FX he is feeling better by tomorrow! Poor little man!

Oh no! Hope he feels better so you can do pictures today.

DS's bday party was yesterday. It was just immediate family so I was able to sit around resting my ankle without feeling like an ass. DS had a great day.
Today I'm venturing out of the house to go to a baby shower. It's my first time out since I got my ankle x-rays on Monday and I'm attempting to go by myself. My friends will think I'm crazy but I've gotta get out of the house. Also will be a good test run as I'm trying to head into my office tomorrow. I usually take the train but that won't happen on crutches. I'm nervous about Boston traffic (2 hrs in potentially) and getting there early enough to find parking close to my office, lugging my laptop, etc.

starsandshamrocks123 , Did I know you were also in the Boston area? Traffic does suck but omg it's nothing compared to NYC area traffic! What time do you have to get to your office

Good luck!! Since you usually take the train, here's my heads up on how traffic has been lately - awful. Leave as early as you can. I used be fine leaving by 5:45 to get in by 7, but now I'm usually arriving closer to 7:30. Also don't be shy about using cabs/uber even if you aren't going far (from parking to office). We are super pregnant, yo. I used a cab to go like 4 blocks the other day and gave zero effs. Best $5 I spent that day.

teachermomtobe I think it was maybe your H that takes my same commuter rail line?
Going to work tomorrow (I know, silly) but my boss said whatever hours and will expense parking. Tues I have my last dr appt at 8:50, so that's bad timing. I will prob use valet and then come home and WFH a half day. My work isn't close to hospital by car.
lulu783 appreciate the advice. I'm stressed about it. We left at 615 last week for my 820 appointment and barely made it. The pike is awful... makes my train look like a dream. I was planning on 6 but I really want to get a spot in my building. Any idea if coming home at 2:30/3 is early enough? If Monday and Tuesday suck, I'll give up and WFH or use vacation time

Ah for some reason I didn't realize you take the Pike like me! I go from 495 to Copley. If I get on at 495 by 6:00am, I'm usually in by 7. I started leaving the office at 2:45 last week because I can't stand sitting in traffic so long. Getting on the Pike outbound at 2:45 gets me to 495 by 3:30-45, which is so much more manageable. The real key is being on the Pike before 3:00 when the tradesmen finish for the day.

starsandshamrocks123, oh yes probably! I seriously have no brain capacity left during pregnancy. Glad your boss is being flexible about hours and will expense parking.

teachermomtobe I realize that sounded stalker-ish LOL. I think I just remember once that my train broke and I complained on here and you mentioned your H was also stuck- maybe on the same line?

lulu783 tell me you don't do that everyday!? This is so so helpful. I have to go all the way to the financial district so that will probably add some time, but getting to my dr is a nightmare crossing over to storrow.
I will most likely attempt one more day after that. I was thinking Friday but I realized it's before a holiday weekend so Friday afternoon traffic out might be terrible!

Yep, everyday. It's the actual worst. Luckily I've told them this week (38w today) is my last week coming in and then it's WFH.
And yes, expect Friday afternoon traffic to be exceptionally awful!! Avoid at all costs.
