I dug out the one pair of shorts I own that sort of fit. They're tight and the button is pretty much stuck under my mom gut. But you know what? It's too hot for pants and I don't want to wear a skirt and sandals for a day in the dirt. So ill fitting shorts and tennis shoes it is!
Someone in my Facebook just posted about how proud they are of their 3 and half year old for pooping on the potty. With a picture of said poop in potty next to grinning kid proudly displaying the locket she got for reaching this milestone.....what?
We had to go to the Apple Store today at the mall. I took a few minutes to go to White House black market. Nothing looked good on me. I just felt so fat. I'm bummed with myself. I just don't know how to dress my current body.
Also, my house is vomit central today. I have no clue what's got sweet O's stomach all upset. Yesterday was a busy, hot day where she didn't eat very well. I'm thinking it's the left overs of that.
Thanks BurritosAtEveryMeal - she's mellow on he couch right now watching Peppa Pig. I just hate the helplessness you feel when the little are sick. All my love to any one else dealing with sickies!
I just went through NB and 0-3 month clothes for gender neutral stuff to give to sil. And I'm crying. So freaking small. I'm going to have a 1 year old soon.

I just had to climb from the back seat of mycar up into the driver's seat. Luckily I still can! (Wasn't sure at first). Was playing outside with dd and she wanted to pretend we were riding in the car (carseat is in h's car so we just sat in the regular backseat) and she said to close the door and I totally forgot we had the child safety latch on. Oopsie!
Cleaning and doing some food preparation. Probably won't get as much as I wanted done because it stopped raining and I want to enjoy outside while I can.
I have a zillion carrots from my food boxes. I need a good recipe to use up a bunch that the toddler will eat too.
We just got back from NH. It went better than expected. DS slept well and slept part of the way each way. No traffic and DS was pretty good most of the time. I slept like crap and am exhausted.
footloose i have a side business teaching toddlers to cook (it's my plan to build it so I can leave my current "real job".)
Anyway - a great recipe is for carrot Hummus.
I don't use weights, measures etc because toddlers don't understand and I like it to be fun and haphazard.
So it's basically grated carrot....as many as you like. Chickpeas and a blob or two of tahini (or just olive oil if you don't like tahini). Then a squeeze of lemon.
It then just gets blended and become the most delicious, fresh Hummus ever.
I hate carrot - like they make me actually be sick. But - I love this and its squeezes loads of carrots into a snack for kids x
