bluefairy5, yeah I sort of thought they would just take the IUI cost out of what I'd already laid down. But no, more cash. She said If I get a BFP they'll give me my IVF money back and if not we'll be paid up already for the second cycle. I'd just have to pay for the meds again.

Ugh I'm so sorry. I am DOR and my RE recommended EPP or MDLF. I had 2 weeks or so of estrogen patches, no BCP but we don't cycle in batches either. We were all really happy with my response on EPP, 7R and my AMH is really low (0.25?) so that was awesome for me. When's your WTF appointment?

Boots, he won't let me make a WTF appointment until I get an official BFN from the IUI. But they are always really, really quick to get me into an appointment. So, now we just wait 2 weeks.

****SAIF response/siggy warning****
I hope you don't mind me responding, but your post caught my eye. My first ivf we barely made it to er because my e2 was terrible. I only had 4 eggs. Anyway, I had a much better response with a different protocol (mdlf worked for us)...so don't give up yet. I only had 7 eggs and 3 or 4 follicles total at the beginning of my successful cycle. Good luck .

Siggy warning
Also, I agree with with Ronnie...your FSH dose was way lower than mine. I think I was at 450 iu follistim and 150 iu menopur daily...and then an extra vial of menopur toward the end.
Glad things went well today! FX that this works so you don't have to re-evaluate a new protocol, but i KNOW know there's a better, more "kitchen sink" protocol for you that will work!

I am sorry, IF is so unfair! I guess I were kind of in the same boat as you last cycle, maybe even a little worse.. I did micro flare with estrogen patches and it didn't work for me... my follicles were not happy about it.. 300 goal-f, 150 menopur and microdose of Lupron (ivf#2).. New RE, new start and I will have estrogen patches and my RE increased FSH to 400 with dual trigger (OMG). I will let you know so maybe this protocol can help you too.. Have you thought about that maybe the BCP don't work for you? As a poor responder, my RE said I cannot even think about BCP before cycling.. But don't give up, there are still many protocols that your RE can try.. FX!!!
mariana81, thanks so much! Yes, my first thought about where the cycle went wrong was BCP. I felt like it got me off to a worse start and my AFC was very low. Please do let me know how your upcoming protocol works! DOR is so much less straight forward re: protocols than regular stimming. What I'm hearing here is that estrogen/EPP might be more successful than MDLF, but not universally.
