Purchase structure for a condo

My family and I are moving to North York. My mother-in-law is living alone in North York after her husband passed away recently. She refuses to come and live with us and also she doesn't want anyone living in her house to look after her. She is a strong person and does not want anyone to pity her. So, we don't want to hurt her feeling and have decided to purchase a good condo near her house from condos for sale in north york. By this way, it would be easy for us to contact her and also we can be there for her anytime she wants us to be. 
So, we were hoping to get some insights on the purchase structure before we start looking. Any suggestions are welcome... TIA!!!
