We leave before the sunrises tomorrow heading to Georgia. And the sunrise is quite early at the moment 😬. We are flying this time.
So today is another packing day. H is making me nuts. I finally said fine I am putting everything on the bed and you can put it in suitcases as you see fit. I am a much more efficient packer but he is whining about paying for checking a bag and now whining because I got Me, S and C in one carry on he might have to take a few small things and now he's whining about carrying it through the airport. Whatever I don't care.
A's 15 month checkup was today, and unfortunately I was solo with both kids for the appointment. A is behind in speech and doesn't eat very well (he lost some weight), but I didn't get a chance to talk to the Dr about our concerns because V was going crazy. He didn't seem concerned with either; I just wanted to discuss going forward.
Not a big deal but definitely felt like a parenting fail today.
kartish sorry you didn’t get to discuss with the pedi. That’s frustrating.
Ventured out today (Wed)- library and G’s last swim lesson. Some woman scolded me at swim for having my newborn in public.
Turns out today is also the day postpartum hormonal roller coaster started up. So maybe not the best day to be away from home so long with a threenager. Gonna take it easy tomorrow.
aggiebug hope the flight goes well and you enjoy your trip. I never mind checking our bags bc I personally hate the carry on thing. But I also almost always fly SW and bags fly free. lilyelayne that's ridiculous you got comments. The nerve of people. And they are wrong. The best time to go out for J is now. Get him exposed to good germs while he's safely protected by you immunity still. I wish everyone had to take an immunology class for this fact alone haha. kartish I'm sorry you were not able to discuss with your doctor. At our 18 mo appointment EI was suggested for speech delay. But you should call your doctor!!
We are finally getting more work done with the bathroom vanity at night but it's always something. Getting close to being done! The big hold up was getting a third (1st one came damaged, 2nd one "damaged during shipping" and never came) vanity top delivered. It took like 2 months and that was with expedited shipping!! Do not, I repeat, do NOT order from Home Depot unless you like flawed products, bad delivery, and have a year to wait around. I am never dealing with them again.
Oh and I was able to get most of the overspray off of my basement floor with just swiffering!
dreemkin we love SWA but unfortunately this trip it was not a realistic option. I don't mind checking, H was just whining about paying. We did end up checking because I guess managing carry ons was worse
Flight was great C slept and S played Mario with H. And the drive was a breeze. Long day though.
And yay for getting the spray off with Swiffer dreemkin! That is awesome news.
Dinner has been slightly less of a struggle to get DS to sit now that he can swim in the evening if he finishes by 630pm. He's well aware there are no evening snacks other than a cup of milk so that helps. His swim lesson got cut short today after a girl in his class had an accident. Poor kiddo.
I did get to talk to the pedi about the speech and he says it's common for children with older siblings as talkative as V is to not talk as quickly. And that we can review it at his next appointment.
Today the DH and the boys surprised me by coming up with to eat lunch with me. Made a dull day much better.
lilyelayne sorry for the bad comment. We got comments and side eyes when we were taking A out brand new. But it's so easy to take newborns out, and good for moms to get out of the house!
