This is DH's latest suggestion. I'm liking it more each day but curious your thoughts. We have an insanely Italian last name. Our top three currently are Rosaria, Bianca and Valentina with about 10-15 more on our long list. We are still TTC #3 but DH has had a big baby fever boost the past month with us getting three new babies in our extended family so I'm loving his name interest.
Valentina has been a favorite of ours for a few years but the increasing in popularity even more so in my state has been making me push it back a little.
I love Valentina also. Filomena is NMS, but it's a nice name. What are your boys' names, if you don't mind sharing?
They do not have Italian names. DH has a strong Italian fn and when paired with our last name he said he sounded like a character from the Godfather and although we always had Italian girl names on our list he vetoed all the boy ones and of course have two boys. Prior to us TTC he has finally agreed to go Italian with our last because he said he has changed his mindset and really likes them and honoring the families. The boy name that is our top one is Salvatore. Currently I have Trent and Nolan.
I love Valentina and I think you should go with that, popularity be damned. It's so hard to predict what will be on the upswing later on anyway.
This is DH thought on Valentina as well. Plus DS2 has a name that broke the top 100 and we have only met one other one so it's hard to say. We do live in a very heavily populated Italian and Hispanic area so we are likely going to run into others whichever we pick.
I love Bianca and Valentina the most. I find Filomena sort of stuffy but can't really explain why.
My maiden name was quite Italian and neither of my brothers or I had an Italian first name and we always whined about it. My brothers wanted to sound like mobsters and I wanted a name that was romantic instead of the name of every 6 of my classmates.

Same here, actually. I am 100% Italian- American and my sibs and I have very "American" names.

This is what I keep telling him lol you can't go wrong with Italian names. He was always for girl names but boy ones were tough for him. We all look the stereotypical part so I said #3 is getting the name dammit.

Ok, just going to throw out one more that I love-- Michelina. Now I will remove myself from this thread so I can stop naming my non-exsistant Italian baby girls.

I actually really like Filomena! Also, if you're into nicknames "Mena" would be adorable. Then to rate the others I'd put Valentina, Rosaria, and Bianca in that order. They're all very beautiful names, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.
ETA: Along the same feel, my #1 guilty pleasure name is Seraphina. I would name my girl that if DH didn't veto!
