Other than finding ants in my kitchen, today was a really good day.
I ordered a bag of dog food on amazon subscribe & save last week, and when we got the box inside realized there were ants in it. Ugh. Immediately took dog food & box outside, killed & vacuumed all the ants we found. Apparently we missed some. Or it’s a coincidence and others found a way in.
lilyelayne oh no! Hope you can get rid of them easily. The thing that works best for us is a spray along the baseboards, especially where you think they could be coming in (if it's not from the dog food). Nuke em!
Well today I can no longer say I'm in my early 30s 😢 Wahh. I don't want to be 34. Business as usual today. I am still going to the gym too which is taking a lot of mental power haha. And I'm wondering how long it'll take DH to say happy birthday - it's already 8:30. I know that the rush if the mornings is real and we already celebrated it really...but still!!
I have a cold, it's day two so it's generally the worst day for me. Can I nap yet
We might? Have family pictures tonight which isn't so fun with a cold but at least it's me not anyone else. I seriously am not certain it's happening though which is frustrating! It's my neighbor who has a side business doing this but she is doing ours basically for free so it's kind of weird.
It snowed yesterday up at work! 12 inches! And it's still here today! That's exciting!
But at hone it's just wet and rainy and muddy and cold. And all my visions of fall cleanup in the yard and garage are shrinking. I hope it warms back up soon.
My sister's goats escaped yesterday, but luckily she got them back in. The pictures of the goats grazing in her yard were pretty cute though.
aggiebug colds are terrible. I hope you feel better! Like for family photos being free haha. kartish I'm glad your sister's goats are okay. Woah, 12in of snow already? You work at a ski resort though right? So that's good for business I'm sure!
It was raining and warm (80s) the last couple days. Now it is windy and in the 40s. I think I'll be next with a cold. Also DH didn't call until 11 to wish me happy birthday and apologize for not saying it earlier... then I birthday impulse bought a Pandora bangle on Rue La La.
I went to get a free bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes for my birthday and I picked the pumpkin spice. I got home and I was disappointed to find out it's much more of a spice cake flavor than pumpkin. Sad panda. Should've got the confetti cake flavor!
1) sizing of old Navy toddler pants? C is pretty skinny and long. Like solidly 18 month waist and 24 month inseam is none too short in general. (I potentially have money at old Navy hence my question)
2) warmest PJs? C's room is also frigid during the winter so I need to get him so really warm PJs.
aggiebug 1. I remember liking old navy cloths but I can't quite remember sizing. I want to say it was either true to size or runs slightly small. 2. The warmest we have are fleece sets but that is only used in the coldest of Chicago temps. My kids are warm sleepers. Also, I'm a firm believer that it should be cooler when sleeping and I always have a fan running in their rooms too (even in reverse setting for winter). We have kept the house pretty warm but this year I might try to go a few degrees lower at night. We all have multiple blankets on our beds in the winter to use when needed! So basically they are mostly in light cotton long sleeve/pants sets.

His room gets to like 59 at night in the winter so pretty darn cold We shift vents and such but he is over the garage and the north corner so it's just cold no matter what we do. I would melt in my room keeping it warmer in his unless I used a space heater which makes me uncomfortable.
Carter's fleece just feels so thin.
I think he slept okay, but his toes and legs were so cold when changed his diaper in the morning. And of course he doesn't stay under a blanket yet, hopefully next year

Fleece sleep sack? The toddler sizes don’t cover feet, though. But they do have elastic cuffs around the ankle so could hold socks on maybe?
Of fun snow! I hear you on fall cleanup. It's so muddy here.
How's the job?
I'm feeling better about it. My review with my boss went well, and we talked through some of the issues I've been dealing with. He wants some things off my plate, so has promised me help. I just need to identify what can be shifted soon. But he also needs me to pick up some new assignments, and basically grow my job description within a year.
