This week is busy for me. Today I have to make up the girls Halloween treat bags (40 of them all together). I ran to the dollar store for some cards. I meal planned and got some laundry in. N had her fun run today so hopefully they can have her participate in some way because she was sad not to be able to run. Speaking of running, the gym fans were off today....so tough, but completed the first run of week 7 (my 19th run so far) 😓😱 right as I was on my cool down the fans started up... 😡
This morning was a rough start. It seemed like everyone was fighting and in a bad mood. Hopefully things will look up. Let's just say I already have in to Anna playing Kirby on the Switch. Also, letting out Gatsby this morning I could have sworn I saw some flurries. Welp!
Today is grocery shopping. This afternoon N has RE and then a little reception afterward called Saintly Snacks. Every grade is bringing a different snack to share which will pertain to a saint. We will get to walk around and learn about the Saint and see why the snack goes with the saint.
Did I say what the girls are being? N is going to be Astrid from How to Train your Dragon. I think the sleeve will be stretchy enough to go over the cast. If not I will have to cut it and pin it to fit. A is being Toothless (the main dragon if you're unfamiliar with the franchise). She is having a party at her preschool tomorrow so she will get to wear her costume a day early. I usually try to make or piece together their costumes but this year I had no idea how to make it look like the licensed characters so I bought them and they look pretty cool! Everyone's costumes sound great you guys!
Have to make Norah's class treat bag today. No food is allowed to send home. A's class is getting two little play dohs. And N's is getting a slime and vampire teeth (what I had lol). Costco has some good non-food item options for teal pumpkin participants so that's what I get for the goody bags too.
lilyelayne lol G that is cute! Halloween is supposed to be nasty here so we will see how much Toting we actually do.
dreemkin it snowed here last night! A tiny bit. It might snow on Thursday, that is what I am crossing my fingers for otherwise it will be like 38 and raining, I'd much rather it just snow.
H's car wouldn't start this morning so it made this morning heck the whole day crazy. I am at my Dr appointment now and I have to pick up S before I can deal with the car. It's most likely a starter, jumping didn't help.

Oh no! Hope it’s a quick, easy, relatively cheap fix!
It was tough call but we called Norah off school today. She had a fever last night. She's has had a cold. And now her throat hurts, is red and splotchy. I hate these decisions because of course she now looks perked up and like she would have been okay. No fever this morning. Gah I don't mind her being home except for that she's already missed so much with her arm poor thing. She's off now for the rest of the week so she can focus of getting healthy.
It snowed here...like, substantially. It's causing power outages from downed branches we think and bad traffic jams. Luckily H is working from home today and taking A to her Halloween party this morning. Our tree in the back yard looks like the tree in Game of Thrones - a Weirwood tree! Pics look weird now when posting on Tapatalk so sorry if they are blurry.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween. It was horrible weather here. A winter storm. And I actually took N to the doctor too so we were a mess. She has a HF&M type virus. I was concerned about step because of the sores in her mouth looked white. The rapid strep was negative so they sent it for a culture. I am terrified about possibly getting hfm again. It was the worse pain I'd ever been in. I will have them admit me..!
N chose to stay home (with my parents and sister - we had a pizza party too) and help pass out candy and we took A only on our street. It was so cold and snowy. But we still had a good turn out of kids. About 50 I think. I have to check the tally. I mark it down every year! It's fun to look back on.
N had a follow up at the ortho. Arm is healing properly! Two more weeks to check again. H is working tonight so I'm going to catch up on This is Us. And YouTube. It's finally Friday!!
Sorry about N being sick but glad she had a good holiday nonetheless dreemkin!
Halloween was good here. Chilly but not compared to y’all. G woke up this morning with a low fever and lots of nasal congestion though. So we’re having a low key at home.
Halloween was cold here, very cold. The boys had a lot of fun still. We went out earlier than is the norm around here, so there weren't too many houses handing out candy yet.
I start my new positon tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it, but I'm a little nervous for the change.
kartish good luck in your new position! lilyelayne hope everyone is feeling well
This weekend was weird and just ended up being R&R time. The girls have sore mouths and tongues because of this virus so they needed the rest. Tomorrow everyone is back to school! And a normal schedule hopefully. Still keeping my fingers crossed that I (and H) avoid the illness.
dreemkin glad the girls are doing better and I hope you and your H continue to avoid it!
Today was super quiet up at work. Apparently the boys were super rude to MIL today while she was watching them. They have been fine since I've been home, but DH said she was really upset when she dropped them off. I struggle on knowing what to do when they say rude or mean things, and they both go through days where it's non stop.
kartish the rudeness is hard because sometimes it seems just obliviousness or they don’t know what is rude/mean and sometimes it’s on purpose to get a reaction or because they think the adult is also being rude/mean - at least that’s how G is. I do a lot of pointing out what is rude/mean and then problem solving other ways to communicate that point without using words that hurt my/whomever’s feelings. idk. Kids should come with better instruction manuals.
