Hi, I don't post often but I did intro in the intro thread. I am a FTM to a little boy. He was born 11-14.
Recently (weekish) my LO has decreased the amount he is eating by one bottle. He is now eating 4-5 bottles at 4-5 ounces. He used to eat 5-6 at 4-5 ounces. Lately it has been a fight to get him to eat. He will suck for a few swallows and then push it away and 5 min later scream for more. He used to suck them down.
Is anyone else experiencing an eating regression? Does anyone think I should be concerned? We went to his ped last 2 weeks ago because he had a cold for awhile and there was a case of RSV at daycare. She said we need to come in if he stops having at least 3 wet diapers, but at that point he was still eating normally. So I didn't even think to ask about a change in eating habits
Honestly, I wouldn't worry until the wetting/pooping stops. Some days are hungrier than others. My LO's intake fluctuates from 20-28oz a day. If you're really worried call a doctor.

This makes me think he might be getting frustrated at the flow. If you are still at the first nipple size, I would go up to he second. Every time my kids did this it was because they were getting frustrated at not getting enough food fast enough.
Being sick can cause a decrease, as long as he is producing enough wet diapers it isn't usually a concern. We just it over RSV here and it wasn't until after a week of beig sick that his appetite dropped a bit (1 bottle less) and after a week we were back to normal.
