My husband and I have a running list going that we keep adding to. Some are definite "meh's" for one of us, but we hopefully have a long road ahead in which any of these names could become more or less appealing.
For a boy: Otis, Henry, Oscar (My fav), Jude, Emerson, Isaac, Truman, Owen, Benjamin For a girl: Hannah Mae, Frances/Frankie Mae, Jolene/Josie Mae (the fav),Elanor, Eloise, Sylvie, Alice, Shelby, Cheyanne, Magnolia
I am biased, but I think Isaac is the best name ever. It's my son's
Names are so frustrating because DH and I have completely different tastes and so can only agree on very few. I hate all names that he loves and he hates my favorites.
Girl: Penelope, Josephine, Paige, Mary Boy: Jack, Bennett, Wesley
We make bets while we are at the hospital (time of birth, weight, doctor, etc.) winner gets to pick from the list of approved names. I won last time
We have had our names for a while now. A girl would be Brynn Elisabeth. I do not see this changing. The boy's name is a little more up in the air, dh likes Eric better than Connor, but I like Connor better. Both were tops on my list so I can't complain. My other two ds are Owen Ross and Bennett Jerome. Middle names are all family names for us.

We've thought a little about this....if it's a boy we love Kelton Robert Keith or Kelton Robert Gerard. Robert is the family name on my side of the family, and Keith is my FIL's middle name, Gerard is my BIL's. It's up to my husband to decide which middle name to choose. I also really like Fynn and Ender though.
For girls, I really like Adalyn, Amelia, and Camdyn. One middle name will be Julianne for sure, which will be for a combination of Julie (my mom) and Diane (MIL).
We have been discussing names for forever. I'm always throwing ones out I love and DH shuts them down. For a girl, I'm really set on Brynne or Penelope for now and we can never agree on boy names
We've (well tbh it's mostly me) been throwing around names since before we pulled the goalie. Haven't agreed on any that we both love but we generally like the same style of names so hopefully we can come to an agreement pretty easily. I'm not sure if we're going to find out the sex or not. I'm leaning towards not but that might change.

The only name I have that I like, and will argue over, is Tessa. It can grow with her, it suits any kind of personality, and my mom & grandmother are both Teresa. DH doesn't like it BECAUSE of the family link but even without the family link I love the name. Talked about using MHs grandmothers middle name as the middle name (can't remember the name now).

Penelope seems to be popular amongst our group. That's on our shortlist too. We've been throwing around names long before we even started TTC but haven't settled on any. Girls: Isla Madeleine Penelope Olivia Grace Robin Mackenzie

I love the name game and we've thrown names around forever. Right now nothing is really sticking as "YES! This is it!" for us except Jack. IT has remained a firm favourite, but my SIL who is due in May has Avery Jackson as a girls name so we will see. We find girls names particularly hard but these are some I like right now.
Micah Sawyer Claire Evelyn Alice ( I love this one but it has connections that lower it a bit) Gwen Isla

We've tossed names about, and the day I got my BFP I made a spreadsheet of all of the yes, no, and maybe options. The only one we're locked in on is Ferra for a girl. The reason: DH and I met in a fencing club at college. When Ferra is spelled that way, it is the nominative plural of ferrum, the Latin word for iron, or more poetically, sword. So we intend to name a daughter "Swords".
If we have a boy, we are sorted as our first born son will be named after DH (a cultural thing, im not thrilled but it is what it is).
For a girl we haven't talked about it much but we need something pronounced the same in Spanish and English, I like Gabriela but I hate the nickname Gaby so it would have to be Ela. I like Lola, but not so much Delores and I don't want a nickname as the full name. I always loved Charlotte but DH always says 'Charlotte the harlot' so that won't work.
Anyone else have the problem that a lot of good names have been used by family pets? My mother had a lot of dogs, and now the following names are no good for me: Penny, Ivy, Maya, Fran, Rose, Evelyn, Maggie, Lola.
Thanks for using up so many good names, Mom.
ETA: Add Winston, Willow and Ruby that have already been taken by aunts and uncles.

We used Reese on our pup and I love the name for a human too:/ Your family really did use a lot of great names!
My husband and I have declared we are not using any J names whatsoever. His name is a J name, mine is a J name, his brother, mom, and dad are all J names... my uncle, aunt, and two cousins all have J names... it's just sickening at this point.
For some reason, despite the fact that I have always wanted a litter of boys, I keep thinking of girl names. It's kind of driving me nuts. But, husband and I both know if we for some reason have a girl, her middle name will be Kate or something like that, after his badass Aunt Katherine who died suddenly about 7 years ago. For a first name, I love Brooklyn because my dad is from Brooklyn and both sides of our families are full of obnoxious New Yorkers. I also have always the name Tzipporah (but I'd spell it Zipporah, with the nickname of Zora) because it's super Jewishy (Moses' wife) and interesting.
For a boy, we haven't really talked about it. I've always loved the name Korban but for some reason I completely lose my interest in most other boy names. I have so many nephews that I feel like so many good names have already been taken. I've recently thought of the name Tobin, to play homage to our favorite city (Boston), but haven't said it aloud to the husband yet.
We still have tons of time so I'm not too worried about picking one yet. Besides, we're not finding out the sex, so it may end up being a last-minute decision anyway!

Over the pat few years I have used up all my favorite female names on horses. I didn't realize the error of my ways until recently. Olivia, Matilda, Fiona, Vera, Bella all out. Good thing we had a girls name from our family. Better hope we aren't pregnant with twins again!

I'm really not fond of "people" names for animals for this reason.
When I was younger, my aunt had a dog named Sophie. My cousin got a girlfriend named Sophie and it was full of awkwardness

My biggest problem is that some of those dogs were real pains in the ass (my mom got a lot of rescue dogs). Maya was a maniac. Evelyn had dementia and was often incontinent. Rose was blind and incontinent. I don't even have good memories.
Penny (Penelope) was a hell of a dog, though. I highly approve of that name.
Our DS is Max David if this one is an other boy it will Lucas Stephen (both middle names are our fathers names who have passed away). If it's a girl then Valerie Christine!
I have so many names I love. Our last name makes it a little tricky. Without revealing too much, I'll just say that our last name is a color. So, I sort of feel like colorful names are out - Ruby, Violet. It seems weird to me to have your first and last names be colors. DH likes more common names, I like more unique names. Soooo, here's a few I like: Girl - Carly, Harper, Willow, Hayley, Shelbi Boy - Perry, Jude, Lennon, Asher DH likes rock inspired names, I'm still on the fence about them (Presley, Henley, Lennon, Jude, Gavin). He also likes Peyton, but even though I like the name, I'm not sure I can justify naming our child after Peyton Manning.
