I burp after bottle definitely even if she falls asleep which stinks to have to wake her up but it has to be done. I know with BFing babies tend to burp less but I'd burp if I were you.
I EBF and usually burp him after during the day. Although, in the MOTN, I don't unless he gets fussy at the boob and I know he needs to burp. Also, when he nurses for comfort and falls asleep soon after starting, I don't worry about burping then either.

Same here I'm Ebf and I will burp her in the day after each feeding. During the MOTN I won't burp her. There have been a couple occasions she was fussy and wanted to burp but 9/10 times she'll just be back asleep and unbothered
We try to burp at every feeding, but usually if she falls asleep we don't get a burp out of her. She's primarily BF and doesn't always burp even when awake.

I think it's baby dependent. My DS never needed to burp so we never did. DD on the other hand needs to burp after nursing. We've always burped after bottles.
I have to burp my LO after every feeding. He takes bottles and breast and if I don't successfully burp him he has a really upset tummy when he wakes up.

She usually burps by herself when she's awake. Supposedly MH and ILs burp her every time they feed her during the day or she'll get fussy, but I myself have never given her a bottle so I don't know. MOTN if she's squirmy and uncomfortable after nursing I'll try to burp her, but if she just falls asleep I don't. It doesn't seem to affect her aside from just being super farty in the morning.

I hardly ever burp after BF, since LO just doesn't need it. Occasionally she'll be a little fussy right afterward, so I try burping to see if that's the issue, but I never burp just for the sake of burping. However, when she gets a bottle, DH stops to burp her pretty frequently.

This makes feel better about not burping the girly at night. She generally falls asleep at the breast, after she's finished eating. If I'm sitting up feeding her, with the Boppy, I might go ahead and burp her. But if I'm lying down, I'm admittedly too tired and lazy to get her up to burp. She can literally sleep through a burping. This kid is my hero.
In the daytime I always burp her. Day or night, she'll fuss and let me know if she needs burped, but otherwise it seems to have little effect on her crazy spitting up. If she's going to spit up, she does it, burped or not.
Burp every ounce for bottles. Generally don't burp after BF. He HATES being burped - just cries on my shoulder during it - so if I burped him after BF MOTN we'd just have to start over bc he generally nurses to sleep when we're not supplementing (half the time).

My twins are EBF and we burp during the day but not at MOTN feedings which they typically nurse to sleep or it wakes them up and then we have the whole cycle of trying to get them to fall asleep again.
We used to not burp LO after BF when she fell asleep on the boob, which was about 85% of feedings- but now that I know she has reflux I am trying to do it after every feeding but it wakes her and upsets her by disrupting our snuggle, so I don't know what to do!
What age do they start not needing to be burped again?
Now that they're older (13 weeks) they don't need to be actively burped so much. I Just sit them up or pick them up and they burp. In the MOTN they burp when I put them over my shoulder and walk them back to their crib. Otherwise I don't try too hard.
He's a gassy baby so I've been trying to but motn we don't always get a burp and he does seem fine. I do sit hit upright for about 10 minutes which seems to help too.
My husband is much better at burping our LO over the shoulder than me. I use the sit him up in my lap method, works great in MOTN. During the day he burps much more often, at night we try to get him to burp before bed so no gas builds up. MOTN feelings I usually sit him up after feeding whether he is awake or passed out, he burps and I lay him back down quickly and he falls asleep. However, there are times that he does burp and he is just fine.
I EP - and I always burp during the day but for MOTN feedings, I will burp her about 3/4 of the way through the bottle. Then if she wakes up, there is plenty more milk to drink to get her back to sleep, but she does get a little gas relief in there, too.

My LO is EFF but I burp Hal way through her bottle and then again at the end if she's fallen into a good sleep by the end tho I don't burp her, unless she didn't burp at the halfway point other wise she spits up later!

My LO pops off my boob when he needs to burp, if he falls asleep at the end of a nursing session, I put him on my shoulder and pat, but if he doesn't burp I don't stress.
I don't burp in the middle of the night. She's half asleep anyway, so unless I hear gulping air, I just put her right back down. 50/50 breastmilk and formula, all from a bottle.
