I feel like all I've talked (complained) about recently is being sick. Well the trend is continuing today. I'm 90% sure I have a sinus infection. I'm not big on antibiotics but would welcome them with open arms if they would help at this point. I've never been sick for 3 weeks then take a drastic turn downward. I've been sleeping in the guest room and Dh just offered to take the day off to get me to the Dr. So sweet! Lo has been amazing about not completely flipping out over all of the coughing and nose blowing. I just want to breathe again!
ninergirl52 Yet another reason winter needs to GTFO! Hope you can get to the doctor today. Despite how much vitamin C and airborne I took this weekend, I think the friends' 2 yr old still got me sick. Waiting on the plane home now. Nervous about the ice in Dallas.

I've been MIA, we had a super busy weekend. It was my friends birthday dinner one night, we went to buybuybaby to pick up our stroller and other small items and then went to a dinner party the next night. We brought LO and he was perfect! Absolutely the life of the party! It was so good for us to get out and see friends. I even got to work and workout a little bit yesterday, so I'm feeling really productive, which has been a pretty unfamiliar feeling lately.

Had a very busy weekend. I was allowed to have a short day Friday. I went straight home and after spending time with Isaac, I was able to take a long nap. Then went to my mom's birthday dinner. Saturday I was at the dentist and then shopping. Sunday was Walking Dead night with the family. I am excited for lunch because it is left over ribs!

ninergirl52,Hope you feel better soon. Though I was getting a cold on Friday but I rested up and it didn't get too bad. kfo22,Agree!!! Winter sucks. I'm done with the snow, done with the cold....just as we're about to dip to single digits here in NY again.
Took my mousie boy to the doctor for his 4mo well visit...2 shots and an oral and not one crying peep from my baby. So happy!! He's growing perfectly, 13lb 7 oz and 24". His doctor is really great and I'm so happy that we found a good fit. We're also cleared to introduce solids. Gave him oatmeal cereal last night, and he loves it! Gets frustrated because the spoon isn't as fast as the bottle and he made a big sticky mess but he did so well with it. Can't wait to try veggies and fruit to see what he likes!!!!

ninergirl52 Good luck at the doctor! Hope you feel better soon. kfo22 Safe travels! queenbee007 It's so awesome to be able to get out and have everything go well! Glad you're feeling productive!
Our weekend was good, but went too fast. DS still has his croupy cough, but is doing a lot better. Back to daycare for him today! We have his 3 month pictures this weekend, so I'm hoping he is feeling up to taking those. How is it Monday already?
kfo22 I hope you're already on a plane as I type this!
ninergirl52 being sick stinks, and I get super whiny. I've had a weird sneeze for the past week and just realized it's allergies to flowers in our foyer
queenbee007 which stroller did you go with? My h just assembled ours (city mini gt) and my girl looked so cute and tiny in her big girl stroller! Now I just need it to warm up so we can take a stroll. It's currently -1 so... Home bound.
AWing some good sleep so skip if you're not getting any! LO is STILLLLL sleeping after her 5am feeding! She went down at 9:30 last night, woke once to eat and now I'm just drinking coffee waiting. She must be spoiling me on the last week of leave. I'm cool with it.
We're finally on the mend. We all were battling a wicked cold last week.
We went to an open house yesterday and I fell in love with the place. But we can't do anything yet because we're about a month away from listing our current place. That and DH's job may be in a state of transition and he may want to look for another position within the company, or jump ship all together.
And speaking of DH, he leaves for South Korea on Sunday for work. Luckily he will only be gone for 4 days, but still. Its a big trip.

Healing vibes to all the families and LO's that are sick! I am dreading our first family go around of whatever day care will send home...
Last night, DS woke up after an hour to fart (...ugh...) and then wouldn't go back to sleep (crying/screaming, etc). My dad (who was only in town for the weekend), told me "You should just let him cry. That's what we did with you and you turned out fine." I think my eyeballs fell out of my head and my jaw hit the floor. He's only 3 months old!
To all the mommas who are sick or have sick family - get well soon.
LO has been sleeping crappy the last few nights. Lots of tossing and thrashing around in the PNP. She woke up crying around 4am, unusual for us, but let me rock her back to sleep. We've been finding her turned on her side so maybe all the thrashing is about wanting to turn over?
kfo22 glad you got a flight out, most @ DFW were cancelled. My mom & brother are stuck in NOLA. Roads are pretty slick but all schools were cancelled, so you shouldn't have to deal with much traffic! Be safe!

My MIL is leaving tomorrow after being here for a month. I am considering smudging my house with white sage or whatever you use to clear bad energy. (I'm only kind of kidding.) As I've said, she's been helpful, but I get a whiff of judgement with every dish she washes and every load of laundry she does. It's a strange thing to feel grateful and resentful at the same time.
I hope all of you who have been sick get better quickly. It must be ten times worse when caring for a baby. Sending germ-free, vitamin C loaded hugs.

catlady22,::HUGS:: I cried every day for a week when I went back to work. I can't imagine how you feel. Hopefully your LO will be with loved ones or your SO/DH while you're away. Insist on tons of pics!!!!
I know! My parents were downstairs in the entertainment room and we could hear everyone's reactions to Aaron greeting his boyfriend lol. I saw it coming because of the comics.
littleapplemom that's awesome, we can't wait to start introducing Henry to solids. I feel like he's ready but we're still going to get the clear from the dr first. glad your baby is getting so big and healthy!
quick update because I'm training some guy at work and won't be able to mess around on the internet much today. My cousin's baby should be released Wednesday to go home, they just want to finish the round of antibiotics. She did have to have a feeding tube in for 2 days because she was having trouble figuring out the bottle, but it's gone now and she's doing much better.
my grandma is in the hospital now though (my family seriously can't catch a break right now). she needs her gallbladder removed, which I know isn't a major major deal but she's a very sick woman (type 1 diabetes among other things), and the surgery will be hard on her body. I feel bad for my mom, this is her mother and we found out before Christmas that my grandpa (her dad) has prostate cancer (he's doing well, had a procedure done, they feel good about it). They're pretty young still, both still under 70, but I feel bad for my mom, I think it's overwhelming for her so see both of them sick. hopefully after work I can go see her, she's having the surgery today, right now she's in the icu.
anyway, I hope everyone who started back at work is having a good day!

ashleymm197,Truth be told, I gave him oatmeal and rice cereal before the doc's clearance. My mom still has all of her records from when I was a baby, she was giving me cereals and fruit by the time I was 2mos and whole milk not long after that. I just went a whole week of feeding a tbs or so of one food, once a day to check for allergies. I know things change, but she raised 4 of us so I trust her advice.

I was going to do the same, but the only thing holding me back is that his right arm is swelling from his elbow to his wrist sometimes. I've been meaning to ask here about it, but we've been busy the past few days
It happened maybe a handful of times in the past week-mom is the one who has caught it actually. she's not worried about since it doesn't bother him, its not red, and when you press on it it doesn't stay in. His appointment is on the 2nd so we are waiting till then. I just don't want her to blame it on the rice cereal when we tell her about it. We've just been keeping an eye on it, but there doesn't seem to be anything else going on with it, and it's minor swelling, like his arm is ballooning up or anything. its actually hard to tell because his arms are so fat anyway.

pixie523 we went with the city elite! I was debating between the gt and the elite and then I read some reviews about the elite being better/more comfortable for taller children so that swung me. My LO is in 6-9 mo clothing right now..
dsp2013 I just moved from Lincoln Park last year. It's a great area!
ashleymm197 sorry about your grandmother. Sending T&P's but great news about your cousins baby!
Is it wednesday yet? Because WTF mastitis 2.0? Plus, my son had finally been happy for almost 2 weeks and picked today to scream all day. Mommy can't handle that plus her fever...
I hope everyone starts to feel better soon! DD and I both have a cold as well.
Today is my first day back at work so of course she woke up every two hours last night. Good thing she's so cute I'm glad we did a few trial runs at DC last week so it wasn't as hard and I was able to run over on my lunch break and say hi. Pumping went well this morning but I'm worried for the long term because I do a lot of driving and spending time out of the office. Now I just have to make to 5!
For the other fellow car pumpers, have you looked into Freemie collection cups? They have been my pump and drive go to!
queenbee007 dh and I have a rental unit in LP and love the area. We're in Bucktown now and were looking to move back that way for the schools. I'm excited to have a new neighborhood to explore!
queenbee007, I want to get the snack tray eventually. did you get any accessories? I'll probably order online. buybuybaby is too intense for me. They cram so much stuff into the store.
