pixie523 no accessories yet! But definitely planning on the snack tray, the rain cover, and eventually the jj cole warm blanket thingy for next year. I know what you mean about buybuybaby but the completion coupon was in store only, the bright side was they gave us an extra 5% off so that helped make up for it

H isn't feeling good and so is lounging in bed reading the book I got him for Christmas and snacking on the croutons I got him at the store (he eats them like popcorn). I, meanwhile, am making dinner, doing laundry, taking out the trash (which is usually strictly H's job), catching up the finances, emptying the dishwasher, etc.
I think I'm fixin' to have my first run in with the "man cold." Wish me luck. Or rather, wish H luck... he's the one who is going to need it.
:hugs: to all the sick and hurting ones. And the ones going back to work.
kfo22, I hope you are curled up with your baby right now.
I can't believe how many are sick! Get well soon, mamas and loved ones!
catlady22 and kfo22 I'm so sorry about the time away from the babies!
spiraltheory Will you have a dance party when MIL leaves?
sadie74 It sounds like you are surviving your first day back at work! That's so cool that you can visit at lunch! Can you pump in the car?
I didn't cry this morning when I dropped baby off at the sitter's! And it was made better in that she sent me pictures during the day, then emailed me the log she kept! Baby had three naps, five diaper changes, and three bottles. She said baby was so chill. Whew, I think it's going to work out!
Hus to those who need it and get well wishes to those who are sick or have sick family members!
catlady22 I'm sorry, I hope the week flies by and you can snuggle your lo all weekend when you get home!
dsp2013 that is no fun! My H and I were recently in a bidding war for our new home which we eventually won but man was it frustrating!..... I want to try the freemies for car pumping bc it's such a pain with bottles and I pump in the car several times a day when I'm in the field. How do you deal with the milk? Just dump in bottles or bags?
spiraltheory I give you all the credit because my MIL limit is 2 days. I would either be in jail or the nut house after a month!
I'm working 10 hour days today and tomorrow and then a half day Wednesday because I have to take my dad for a heart catheterization in the afternoon. I don't mind except it's another day away from lo and I was gone today and will be all day tomorrow as well (instead of my normal working from home I've been onsite with clients).
We are taking our first longer (3 hours) car ride this weekend with lo and I'm nervous bc he hates his carseat, we are leaving Friday night in the hope that he will sleep for the drive!
I'm going through my closet, trying on slacks in preparation for going back to work in a couple of weeks. It's not looking good. I've lost some of the weight gained during TTC, IF meds, pregnancy, and post partum EP, so the waist is looser but the rear/hips are snug. MH may have mentioned wedgies and VPL.
I'm also weeding out LO's 0-3 months stuff so it's done before work sucks me back in. I ran into 1-2 newborn onesies. Wow, she was once tiny.
spikesmom. I keep bottles in a cooler bag and use the funnel type piece to poor into a bottle. The tube opening also acts as a pour spout, but I find it can be hit or miss.
zengal I will be able to pump in the car but my main concern is storage. I'll really need to do it in the warmer months and that makes me nervous. But I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out. I'm glad the sitter went to well for you! That's awesome you get pictures throughout the day.

kfo22, nooooo. Do not let her get a bottle while you are there. She will get hungry enough that she will take your boob and get back to nursing. I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this.
calimomof1 Dr Browns premie nipple. She used to hate the bottle and I never imagined she would ever take one from me, especially. She's also in her PnP now instead of bed sharing! Changes happen fast!
