This whole past week was TOUGH for me! I only got to the gym once & I ate right most of the time but I was not prepared for some of the traveling we did which caused me to get hungry & not have a backup food which resulted in gas station Doritos. <-- longest sentence ever.

Today is a new day & I'm going after it. I like the way my pants are fitting. There's hope!

What type of exercise do you like to do? I like Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30 workouts because they're 30 minutes and you hit strength, cardio, and abs. I also like to dance so I do Zumba when I want something more fun and I've started working in some yoga/pilates because I'm old and bedsharing with an infant makes me all stiff.

I'm not consistent enough with my exercise, though. I need to prioritize and make a goal. It's just been hard with the night wakings to get motivated.

Oh and I also use 30dayfitnesschallenges.com. They have a bunch of different ones, some easier than others.

Lea, I don't like to exercise haha. I usually worked out by playing sports. As that's not an option right now I do need to keep it under 30 minutes or I know I won't commit.

DH and I are doing a PIYO program which is between 30-50 minutes 6 days a week. The good news is that I'm gaining tons of muscle the bad news is that I'm not losing any weight despite eating well. Ah well. For my first pregnancy weight didn't come off until month 9, looks like I will have to wait!

Day 1 complete. Crunches were not so bad, the planks about killed me!! This is going to be a tough 30 days!!! DH is doing the 30 days with me too

I'm in! We (H and I) started the P90 workout 2 weeks ago and haven't missed a day yet. Our eating has been pretty good. I am struggling to truly diet because it causes my milk supply to tank. The first week I lost 4 lbs, but my supply dropped so much that i started eating whenever I am hungry, just trying to make healthier choices. Any advice to help keep supply up while cutting calories out?

H has already lost 7lbs... I am so jealous of how easy it is for men to lose weight!

My short term goal (within 6 months) is to get back to my pp weight of 170. I am currently 190.

My long term goal is to get down to 150lbs.

Day two complete! As sad as it is I was sore this morning from yesterday's exercises...so I know that I wont be able to move tomorrow

I did 100 Bicycle crunches and 2X 30 second planks. If you want an ab work out that is cruel but probably works soo good do bicycle crunches. 

I also have a ton of motivation as I am signing DD and I up for infant swim classes. Must lose the muffin!!

Well y'all I crawled back into the gym. I didn't even have a plan & I was on a major time crunch. But I went. At least I went. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Weekly weigh in #2 was yesterday. I lost another whole pound. That brings my total to 2.6 pounds in two weeks. I had a couple days where I definitely could have eaten better. I ate a donut on Monday and felt so guilty!

That's great! Hey, sometimes you just need a donut. You'd go crazy if you didn't indulge here and there.

Thank you! You are right about that. I do find that a treat here and there keeps the urge to binge at bay. I eat skinny cow ice cream sandwiches which are much better than a pint of Ben and Jerry's, which was happening A LOT. =)

I started buying mini almond milk ice cream sandwiches like I did when I had GD. They're a lot lower in carbs and they taste pretty good! I don't feel as bad when I eat them. I had to stop buying cookies though because I have no self control!

Ha! I try not to buy a whole lot of tempting things because as soon as I get home from the grocery, I have to do a sampling of everything. I can easily put away entire bags of chips or boxes of Oreos...I assume.

I got a great work out in yesterday & am hoping to go early this morning.

I do most of my cheating when I'm stressed. The other day, I got pissed off and went straight to the kitchen. I realized it right away that I was about to angry eat. That's just terrible.

Let's share strategies for staying on track and avoiding emotional/bored/just because eating, shall we?
I keep flavored seltzer in my fridge at all times. If I go to the fridge between meals or "just because" I've wandered into the kitchen, I try to grab one of those. Generally if I just sip on that, I find I'm satisfied if I'm not actually hungry. I buy a different flavor every time to keep things exciting.

I made it to the gym this morning, did a lower body work out like a boss & came home to the minions. The real struggle will be tonight's bunco party I'm going to. Cupcakes & nachos galore. My secret weapon is grape ice chewing gum. **must...stay...strong**

I only did 3.25 of my 5 miles this week, but traveling due to work has been pretty brutal. I'm so tired of being jiggly, but I'm so...tired...

To keep from eating I brush my teeth. This works especially well for me at night, because not doing it again always wins over what I could have shoved in my face.

I was down another lb at my weigh in this week. I'm surprised because I had a lot of indulgences over the weekend. After a kid party on sat my points were shot.

H and I took DS on a walk in the stroller bc the weather was nice (sorry blizzard peeps). That counts as exercise... Sorta. Maybe I might think about trying to work out this week. No promises.

I am re-motivated to back off the wine/sweets/carbs for a bit. I have managed to keep my points right, but I no longer BF at all so I need to update that.

I was down 2 more lbs after my 3 week weigh in on Saturday! That is a total of 6lbs so far. I am happy with the progress and hope that it keeps going! We had friends over for lunch on Sunday so our eating wasn't as healthy as it could have been, but it wasn't too terrible. I still have not noticed any changes in my body or the way my clothes fit, but hopefully that will start happening soon.

I didn't eat super well this week. Nearly a bag of candy hearts and a million ice cream sandwiches. Somehow I did manage to still lose 1.8 so I got my "first 5 lb loss badge" on WW. Wee. Back on track today.

Checking in ladies! How are we doing? I know I'm behind on my goal, but I'm hoping to catch up this weekend without injury (a 7 mile long run). I did get a few workouts in this week including two 3 milers, so that's an improvement over the 1 a week I had been doing. And I think my speed is creeping up, so overall I am pleased, and if I can get my 7 in tomorrow I'll be tickled!!

Are we still cool with this thread? Should we start a fresh one with a name that clarifies what it is a bit more?

Glad you bumped this! I am indifferent to a name change, but it might help for others to know what it is and participate.

We had our 6 week weigh in today and I did not lose amy weight last week, but that was not surprising as my diet was total crap. We still have not missed any workouts and I am very happy and proud of that. I have lost about 10lbs so far. I have about 10 more to go to get to pre baby weight. And 35 to go to reach my ultimate goal.

Weigh ins today were a reality check for me... DH only weights 3lbs more than me ?. I am a solid 2 inches shorter than him. I am horrified. It should motivate me to keep on track, but it really just makes me want to eat ALL the cookies. Sigh.

Good job! Keep at it but OMG, the cookies....the chips...the peanut butter balls from the corner store. All in all, I have managed to lose 9.8 pounds since January 7th, so that's good. I wish it was more but I didn't gain all this weight overnight. I'd really like to lose another 15 before tank top weather is here.
